Family Adventure Day

Doesn’t Derby seem like ages ago? Finally it’s June. May was very long… I’m ready to move on.

Since today is the last Friday of the month, it’s the trolley hop along Frankfort Ave. Plan some strolling around with the kids, dinner (did someone say food trucks?!?) a dessert and pop on the trolley for free to cruise around.  Trolley runs for free from 6pm-10:30.  There’s a map on their website.

Also, on Friday and Saturday, there’s the Portland Festival. It’s a family event to help raise money for neighborhood projects and to celebrate the Portland neighborhood. Info on their Facebook page.

A few summer concert series’ kick off this weekend. Check out the Jeffersonville River Stage has a band playing tonight (Friday) called Juice Box Heroes. I know I got through a lot of juice boxes and I am a hero to my kids so maybe I should join that band?

Saturday and Sunday you can venture up to LaGrange and check out their family-friendly arts festival, Arts on the Green. It’s from 10-5pm both days.

And, if you have a Thomas the train fan in your house, it’s a great weekend to head to the Kentucky Railway Museum! June 1-2 and next weekend June 8-9 Day Out with Thomas at Kentucky Railway Museum, New Haven, KY.Use code lvillefamilyfun13 to save $2 per ticket.

Make it fabuLOUs! And, check out the podcast for this week (should publish today), it’s all about summer concerts and tune in next week, June 5th at 9pm for the live Spreecast webinar – access link will be on Facebook.
