Things to do this weekend around Louisville – January 3,4,5
Well, howdy 2014, nice to meetcha.
It takes a while for the events to kick back into gear. There’s not a ton of things going on. But, alas, you came to LouFamFun for ideas and I shall give you ideas!
Friday: The Louisville Free Public Library has a great program at 2pm called “Can’t Catch Me!” with seasonal stories and a gingerbread man craft. It’s at the Main library downtown.
How about some archery? At E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park there will be an intro to archery from noon to 3pm for kids 7 and up. $5 per participant.
The Kentucky Science Center has one of their free playdates for kiddos 0-4 years old and their caregivers. It’s from 8:30-9:30am and you get to stay all day for free.
Sunday: Take a break and think about a volunteer opportunity for your family this year. We have some service ideas here. The LouFamFun writers have been thinking of doing this as a monthly feature, how giving back to the community can definitely be fun and rewarding for the entire family. Make it a point this Sunday to research some options and see what your children are inspired to do! My daughter has already informed us (several times) that she wants to help at the animal shelter because the puppies need kids to play with 🙂
