Learn about family health and safety at the Louisville Health Kick Festival, presented by

Hwang’s Martial Arts. More than 50 vendors will offer free information and interactive

activities. Children of all ages will enjoy playing on an obstacle course, inflatable bounce house

and basketball goal, and learning about bike safety at the bike rodeo. Healthy lifestyle tips will

be provided by Norton Healthcare and other local health organizations. Entertaining yoga,

Zumba and martial arts demonstrations will be featured throughout the day and massages will be

available for adults. Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 each or $15 for a family four pack. To

purchase tickets or for more information, visit healthkick.eventbrite.com.

The headlining event at the festival is the Kick-a-Thon: a fun, active fundraiser. Proceeds

from Louisville Health Kick Festival and the Kick-a-Thon benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital.

Participants in the Kick-A-Thon raise money by collecting donations, pledging to perform a kick

for every dollar raised. Experienced Taekwondo instructors will guide the fun. Participants can

enter as either individuals or teams. Teams work together to raise funds and compete against the

other teams to perform the most kicks in five minutes. The Kick-a-Thon is open to the public and

registration is going on now. Registration fees are $35 for an individual or $30 per person on a

team of 3-20. Sign up at tinyurl.com/healthkickfestival.

Hwang’s Martial Arts offers Taekwondo and martial arts classes at multiple locations statewide
