Review of Date Night at Stout Burgers and Beers in Louisville, KY

photo photo 2_zpsgjkqrspo.jpgThe stars aligned on our wedding anniversary and my husband and I were able to celebrate with a kid-free night out. We decided to try something new and headed out to Stout Burgers and Beers on Bardstown Road.

We went on a Wednesday night and had a 15-20 minute wait for a table. They took our cell phone number and promised to send us a text when our table would be ready. We went down a few doors to Books and Music Exchange to browse while we waited which worked out well.

Stout Burgers and Beers is small and tables are close together but we didn’t feel like we were intruding on the table next to us or vice versa. It was loud, but not so loud that you couldn’t hear your table mate.

photo photo 1_zpsgborbng3.jpgMy husband was super excited to try the wide beer assortment and really enjoyed a Dragon’s Milk (bottled) and a chocolate stout (draft). I am not a huge beer fan so I opted for a cider and tried Pitchfork (a Sonoma cider) and really liked the pear flavor it had. The food was really good as well! I ordered the Goombah Burger (parmesan flakes, smoked mozzarella, crispy prosciutto, and lemon basil aioli) with onion rings and my husband had the Stout Burger (blue cheese, emi gruyere, rosemary bacon, caramelized onions, horseradish cream, and roasted tomatoes) with fries.

Our bill wasn’t too expensive and we had a really nice time enjoying some yummy food kid-free! I would highly recommend Stout Burgers and Beers for a date night or a girl’s night out. Stout is located at 1604 Bardstown Rd and can be found on Facebook here!
