Review of Goose Creek Diner By: Stephanie

The Goose Creek Diner is located off of Westport Road not far from Hurstbourne.  It is a wonderful family restaurant since it offers a wide variety of choices at great prices.

It has a simple atmosphere so you can bring your kids after practice, for a nicer dinner on a Saturday night or for brunch on Sundays.  The menu is filled with home-cooking favorites like meatloaf, liver and onions, burgers and sandwiches.  Best of all, they promptly bring sweet mini corn muffins to your table to keep little fingers and mouths happy!

I had the Smokehouse Chicken with a side of fried green tomatoes and my husband had the hot brown.  My daughter had a HUGE hot dog kids meal and my son had a big cheeseburger kids meal, both served with fries (although they can choose any other side dish) and a drink.  My parents joined us and my father had the meatloaf and my mother had the liver and onions. Both of them raved about their food!  My chicken was fantastic as well.

The prices were reasonable, the choices abundant and the service was friendly! What more can you ask for?  Well, the waitress let me know that on Tuesday nights, they have an awesome balloon artist that comes in and makes neat balloon creatures for the kids!  Check with them to see if this is still going on.  Regardless, it sounds like they have family events from time to time.  And, the next time I have out of town guests, I am definitely going to take them to the Sunday Brunch Buffet at the Goose Creek Diner.    It runs from 9am to 2pm and the list of items looks delicious. The price is right too!  $11 for adults, $9 for seniors, $5 for kids 6-12 and kids 5 and under are FREE!  They even have early bird pricing before 11am.
