Labor Day Weekend Events in and around Louisville
We did not make a Labor Day Weekend post for 2012 but a lot of these links and events occur again this year and the links will take you to current info!
Whether it’s a BBQ at home with neighbors, family and freinds or a weekend out and about, we hope it’s a good one!

On September 5th, enjoy a lunch cruise on the Belle of Louisville
Sept. 5th, 11am-4pm. Familypalooza at Southeast Christian Church. Inflatables, face painting and much much more!
Kentucky Flea Market Labor Day Spectacular at the Kentucky Expo Center -September 2-5, 2011. Friday Noon – 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 7 PM, Sunday 11 AM – 5 PM, Monday 10 AM – 5 PM.
(not for 2012) A Block party hosted by The Frazier History Museum! See “Da Vinci- The Genius” at a discounted rate before it closes September 18. Family-friendly, fun-filled day in the sun! Main Street between 8th and 9th Streets September 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.! Inflatable games, prize drawings, fun activities and more! All activities on the black party are free, but admission to the Frazier Museum is $5 due to “Da Vinci- The Genius.”
Kentucky Bluegrass Music Festival at the Water Tower on September 3,4,and 5th. Live bluegrass, food, drink, craft vendors and other entertainment as well as a kids area! Kids under 10 are free! Saturday: 4pm – 10:30pm Sunday: 4pm – 10:30pm Monday: 1pm – 7pm, $6.00 before 6:00pm $9.00 after 6:00pm
The Utica Homecoming Festival (LINK FOR 2012) at Utica Community Center and Park, 106 N. 4th Street
An annual event which began in 1998. This year the festival and parade will be held on Friday, September 2 and Saturday, September 3.Bounce houses, kiddie games and golf put. One charge of $5 gets a kid in and out all day! Saturday -11 am TOWN PARADE Bring the kids to meet and greet with Buddy Bat. Like cars? There will be everything from Model A Club Cars to muscle cars, Car show follows the parade. Free DJ street dance for all ages in the evening.
