Louisville Family Fun July 1, 2, 3 Weekend Things to do

Happy 235th Birthday America! How are you planning on celebrating the holiday weekend? Fourth of July festivities along with some more fun FREE/cheap events in the area sounds like a fun weekend to me!

First Fridays at Speed Museum from 5-9. Note: Art Sparks is temporally closed due to the latest storms, but they promise lots of family fun. There will be a ‘pop-up’ Art Sparks in the center of the museum.

Ride the trolley downtown on the First Friday Trolley Hop.
Shakespeare in Central Park (also Saturday and Sunday) showing “At you Like It” at 7:30pm
Free for zoo members: Zoovie – Despicable Me with field opening at 6pm and zoo members can ride the tram for free after 6pm.

Feed the Animals at Blackacre Conservancy, 9am
An American Tale at Riverstage in Jeffersonville
Fireworks in the Town Center beginning at dusk.

Don’t forget about all the Local Library events on Saturdays too!

Crescent Hill Art and Music Festival – Old Fashion 4th of July (Monday too)
Junior Jockey Club at Churchill Downs (Monday too – playing Minute To Win It)
Summer Camp at Bass Pro Shop (also Saturday)

Check out the websites for additional information for updates on the event, dates, times, and pricing – especially being a holiday weekend! Be sure and check out our calendar for additional events going on this weekend.

An additional note: we do our best to keep our calendars accurate, but occasionally mistakes are made. Always double check the websites. We welcome corrections, questions, and additions to our calendar. Thanks for your help!
