The McDonald’s Thunder Preview Party is at hangar at Bowmen Field and admission is a pegasus pin or a McDonald’s Thunder Funder cup.  It is on April 5th from 5-9pm and I suggest you plan ahead and get their early.  The line for parking can form along Taylorsville Road but it is worth it. The kids love it. They usually have rides in a little mock plane, planes and helicopters to climb in and explore, bouncies, freebies from McDonald’s, crafts and characters roaming around for high fives and photo ops!

The Great BalloonFest events span a few days so you can pick which one is best for your families schedule and get to see the wonderful, colorful balloons. If you have young kids, you can take them earlier in the the evening and still get the experience if you don’t want to take them out later for the glimmers and glows.  They are April 26th to 28th at various times and locations and admission is a pegasus pin.

The Kroger Fest-A-Ville on the Waterfront spans many days and admission is a pegasus pin.  It starts April 26th and ends May 4th and provides an entertainment option for families during the day!  This event has it’s own schedule of events. Note, you cannot bring food and drink in so plan to buy lunch or visit around your families dining schedule if you want to save money!

Apassionata is coming to Freedom Hall from April 27th to the 29th for a series of shows. This European show is starting it’s tour in the US right here in Louisville. Very cool!  It has been the #1 selling European arena show for 10 years.  We will have a discount code for you, stay tuned.

The Louisville Youth Orchestra Concert is April 29th at 4pm at the Iroquois Ampitheatre and admission is a pegasus pin.  Relax with your family in this lovely setting, bring a picnic and enjoy the music.

Celebration Sunday is at the Fest-A-Ville on the Waterfront on April 29th from 1-11pm and admission is a pegasus pin. This is a family event with a ferris wheel, carousel, inflatables and live music.

The Parade Preview Party is May 1st from 5-9pm at the Kentucky Exposition Center and admission is a pegasus pin (note, $8 to park).  The floats are there, people are giving things away, there’s usually a scavenger hunt for the kids and performances.  We love this event!
