Things to do this weekend in and around Louisville – August 10,11,12
FridayFest at Highview Park is this weekend. I’ve never been to this event but I see a bit about it online because of all of the food trucks that head out there. The event is free, so why not head out there and try out dinner from a food truck that you have been meaning to try? There’s music, food and more (so they say) and you can bring canned goods to donate to a local charity. Sounds good to me!
On Saturday, from 11-3pm, you can head out to the Helping Heroes event – info HERE – in the Ashley Furniture parking lot on Blankenbaker Pkwy. It’s free with bouncies, music and more. It’s all to spread the word about a non-profit organization called Supporting Heroes.
And, how could I not mention the big St. Joseph’s Orphan’s Picnic! That would be fun for Saturday (11am-?) with tons of booths and of course, fried chicken.
How about ending your weekend with some bluegrass? In Middletown’s Wetherby Park you can enjoy some free food and music starting at 5:30! Details HERE.
Have a fabuLOUs weekend!
