Things to do this weekend November 16,17,18

Family Adventure Day
Grandmother Power at Ali Center

It’s beginning to look a lot like………I don’t even want to say it.  I like the cheery holiday season but come on, it’s Thanksgiving time!  Anyway, you just can’t avoid jumping into the holiday season and confess, some of you have started decorating, shopping and are piping holiday tunes in the house.

What to do this weekend? So many choices, what shall I pick?

Enjoy the beautiful night sky while on a guided hike at Blackacre Conservancy for Autumn Stars Over Blackacre.  How cool is that?  It starts at 6pm on Saturday so it’s not too late and it’s just $5 per family.  Then, head somewhere and get some hot chocolate afterwards! YUM!

It would be a lovely weekend at Churchill Downs for family day on Sunday.  The fall season is wrapping up and they have a feather craft on Sunday. General admission is just $3 for adults and children under 12 are free!

How about some card making?  It’s a great time of the year to get crafty with cards and the Speed Art Museum is helping you out. They are having a FREE workshop at The Huff Gallery at Spalding University on Sunday from 12 to 3pm!

And, it’s opening weekend of Christmas at the Galt House  (review from last year) and Lights Under Louisville (click for review , click for discounts )!  Fun Fun for the next few weeks.
