The Parklands of
Floyds Fork, Louisville’s newest public park system, is excited to introduce
new, full-day science and natural history camps for children in grades 1-5.
Enriching, discovery-based field experiences will allow children to
touch, see and learn about the world around them. Days will be balanced between
activities in the state-of-the-art classrooms of the brand new PNC
Achievement Center for Education and Interpretation, as well as the outdoor setting of Beckley Creek Park and Floyds Fork
creek. Spring break and summer camps are offered through the Outdoor
Classroom education program at The Parklands, April 1-5, June 10-14, June
17-21, July 8-12, and July 15-19. Camp tuition is $185/week for Parklands
Members, and $210/week for non-members (memberships available at TheParklands.org/members)
Visit TheParklands.org/outdoorclassroom/camps for specific camp details and to register. Space
is limited!

Academic Program

June 26, 2013 through July 19, 2013.

59.5 hours of instruction – Tuition: $800

The summer academic camp is helpful for students who need to develop phonics, oral reading, reading
comprehension, math, organizational/study skills, and written expression. Children are scheduled in four skill areas based upon their specific learning profile and needs. Limited space is available to keep class sizes small. Applying early is suggested. After completion of the program, a written report will be mailed to parents.
