The Worlds Largest Halloween Party is at the Zoo and tickets are on sale now! Even members wanting to attend on free nights have to reserve tickets  It runs pretty much the entire month of October.

Halloween Harvest Party at the Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve.    October 5th from 3-9pm. ($5/person, $20/max per family for Haunted Hike; $5/Haunted House entry)


The La Grange Fire Department is hosting Oldham County’s largest Safety and Halloween Festival on October 5th from 4-7pm. Trick-or-treating and more! Hayrides, bouncies, climb in firetrucks and more- all at the Oldham County Fairgrounds

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Iroquois Park October 10th-Nov. 2nd. Open at 7pm nightly.  Kids 2 and under are free, tickets range from $9 to $15.

The Caufields Halloween Parade is on October 11th at 7pm on Baxter Ave and full of crazy costumes and lots of tossed candy – bring a bag for the kids. FREE

October 12th Mary T. Meagher is having a Halloween Festival from 5pm until 8:15pm.  After, you can watch Hotel Transylvania. They also have old school fright night movies on the lawn at the Mary. T. Meagher Aquatic Center throughout October.  They start at 9pm and are FREE 10/4,10/11,10/18.

Main Library Downtown After-hours Halloween party

Friday, October 18, 20136-8pm  Storybook-themed evening of storytelling, games, crafts, and more.  Be sure to wear your costume!

Sunny Acres farm is having a pumpkin festival on October 19th from noon-6pm.  Pumpkins for sale to carve, corn maze, pony rides (fee for some activities)

The Bass Pro Shop has Halloween freebies starting starting mid-October. We’ll update this list when it’s on their website!

Museum of American Printing House for the Blind: Saturday, October 19th 10:30 a.m.–12:30pm
Make your own Halloween masks! Museum staff will guide your children to make a scary or friendly, for kids of all ages. Free to the public: registration is required. Call 502-899-2213 by October 17th to register.

Belle of Louisville has special cruises for Halloween like the Scaryoke cruise or the Boo cruise.  Different dates, times, prices!

Jack O’Lantern Stroll: October 25th  Louisville Slugger Field
A community event that features over 1,200 carved pumpkins, carved by community members and those supported by Dreams With Wings.

Boo Dell at Yell Dell gardens is just $5 for parking with free admission. It is on October 26th from 11-3 featuring trick or treating, a pumpkin carving contest, Magic show (2pm) and more.

Corn Island Storytelling at Blackacre Conservancy– October 26th at 7pm. Spooks and spirits with storytellers.

Fright Light Halloween Party at the Rauch Planetarium:   October 27th for the party but they also have Fright Light shows throughout October!

Hetzer Haunted House – October 31st. Free haunted house for Halloween night. Probably for teens and older.

The Bass Pro Shop has Halloween events, trick or treating and freebies starting starting mid-October through 10/31. Trick or treating, crafts and more.

If your kids 10 and up need some screams, there’s a haunted attraction called Grim Trails in Middletown on Friday and Saturday nights.
