Weekend fun around Louisville is here! Especially heading into spring, there are many things to do with your kids inside and outside depending on the weather. We found many fun options for you.
Features of the weekend:
The health of the planet and the health of humans go hand in hand. Celebrate nature’s healing powers and learn how conservation and protection of the Earth are at the center of everything they do at Bernheim. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, take a deep breath of fresh air courtesy of a healthy forest, and find peace in the sweeping views of natural beauty.
This is Ted. He is a recently licensed therapy dog and he would like to read a book with you. There’s only one problem – he needs help turning the pages. Would you like to come help out Ted this Saturday and read a book to him? Foxing Books will have 10 minute time slots between 11:30am-12:30pm this Saturday for those who would like to come practice their reading skills with Ted. Contact them for a timeslot!
For the first time ever, independent bookstores in the Greater Louisville area are partnering for READ FOR THE ROSES — a two-week long celebration surrounding Independent Bookstore Day, which takes place on Saturday, April 27th. Participating bookstores include Carmichael’s Bookstore (Frankfort Ave and Bardstown Rd locations), Carmichael’s Kids, Foxing Books, A Novel Romance, Butcher Cabin Books, Set & Setting, and The Rosewater Bookstore. From April 20th to May 5th, you will be able to pick up a special READ FOR THE ROSES bookmark from any participating bookstore. Click here for all the details!
