We are all about free events! Here’s a selections of festivals, events, Halloween fun and more around Kentuckiana.

October 7th-15th is Harvest Homecoming. The 2017 Harvest Homecoming festival will be held October 7-15, with booth days on October 12-15.

October 7th Spencer County Octoberfest featuring a family fun parade and festival!

October 7th: Bluegrass Jamfest and Scramble from 11:00am-3:00pm. Musicians enter the scramble individually and bands are created by picking names out of hats – one for each instrument.  Your new band will then have a 20-minute practice session to prepare songs and stage patter for a six minute turn on the stage in front of a live audience.

October 8th: South Points Buy Local Fair from noon-4pm at Iroquois Amphitheater

October 14th: Louisville Children’s Business Fair from 11:00am-1:00pm.

October 15th: Harvest for Hope from Noon to 5:00pm. This event is free and open to the community, as we host a day of family-friendly entertainment on the beautiful grounds of Uspiritus’Bellewood campus in Anchorage.

October 20th, 6-9pm at St. Francis of Assisi: Jack O Lantern Stroll benefiting Dreams with Wings. Free. Over 1,500 beautifully carved pumpkins lighting the night, trick-or-treating, games, crafts, Louisville’s largest pumpkin pie by Heitzman’s Traditional Bakery, members of the Louisville League of Mascots, University of Louisville athletes, live music and so much more!

October 21st: ClarkFEST Community Festival from 10:00am-3:00pm. ClarkFEST is the Town of Clarksville’s largest annual festival, held each year in Gateway Park, located at 500 Little League Boulevard.

October 21st: Halloween Dance Party at Shawnee Library from 11:00am-12:00pm

October 21st: Wilderness Louisville Forest Adventures at Jefferson Memorial Forest from 10:00am-3:00pm. Forest staff and volunteers will introduce visitors to their native plant gardens and animal exhibits. Activities for children will be provided in the Nature Explore area. Climb the 52-ft Alpine Tower, try your hand at archery or fish on Mitchell Hill Lake. Free pumpkins, pumpkin decorating, and hay rides.

October 21st: Louisville Halloween Parade and Festival, 12 – 8 pm. Family-friendly Halloween fun including an all-new street festival from featuring craft booths and live entertainment. The highlight of the event is the 15th Annual Louisville Halloween Parade taking place at 4pm. Don’t miss the fun!

October 25th, 4 – 7:30 pm: Trick or Treatment at the Crescent Hill Gatehouse and Reservoir. Bring the entire family – costumes encouraged! Healthy Zombie Walk around the Reservoir with activity stations along the way. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

October 27th, 5-8pm: The Family Fall Festival at Chick-fil-A at Jefferson Commons. Free admission and great family carnival activities! Trick-or-treating, games, free desserts, inflatables, face painting, awesome raffle prizes from local businesses, and much more. Come hungry- the full Chick-fil-A menu will be offered outdoors with plenty of seating!

October 28th: Spooky Puppet Theatre at the Main Library from 2:00pm-3:00pm.

October 28th, 11am-3pm: Halloween in Brown Park. This free and family-friendly celebration includes trick-or-treating stations throughout Brown Park, bounce houses, hay rides, a petting zoo, and games.
