Check out the what we think are the best Christmas lights in Louisville – Toyland Christmas. Here are the details. It’s all free but they do take donations for charity and have raised over $100,000 over several years so consider donating!
In non-holiday fun, the UofL men’s soccer team is in the Elite 8 of the NCAA tournament and playing at 7pm at home vs. Akron. Get info and tickets here. If you are a LouCity FC fan and wear any of their swag, you can get in for $3!
Get a good night’s rest because Saturday is THE family fun day of all of December.
OK, here’s what you do to make an entire day of fun (and possibly pass out). Go to The Home Depot and your kids can make a free gingerbread house, details here. Then, head to Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve to spend the day full of holiday cheer in Oldham County. CMNP’s Nature of Christmas event runs middle of the day. Hot cocoa, crafts, hay rides, Santa & Mrs. Claus, treats, free food! Phew. Then, at 3pm, go to La Grange for Light Up La Grange. It runs until 9pm and get this, you can make candy canes!
Take a drive down to Elizabethtown to drive through their Christmas in the Park. It’s free and there are 100+ displays. It’s open from 6-11pm.
