Oaks Derby Camps

Oaks Day and Derby Day are fun for kids and adults alike, but sometimes we like to celebrate in different ways. Here are some fun drop off Oaks Derby camps.


Oaks and Derby Day Camps:

Camp HiHo– 9am – 7:30pm. Lunch and dinner provided. Optional transportation. Fishing, archery, boating, arts and crafts, basketball, dodgeball, zip line, rope swings, tree forts and of course horse-riding and brushing. There will also be fun horse racing-themed games and competitions to keep with the spirit of the day and possibly pets in the pet barn that will need some attention from campers.

Maypie 3×3– 9am – 5pm on Oaks and Derby Day. Each camp will provide your child the opportunity to make themed projects using soft clay and learn to use a potter’s wheel. Kids 6-12.

YMCA Camp Piomingo Derby Camp– Weekend camp for kids 6-16! Check in at 10am on 5/4, check out 1pm on 5/6. It will be a weekend full of games, songs, horsey arts & crafts, traditional Derby foods and furlongs of fun. We will even watch the famous race & cheer for our Derby favorites. A one-way bus is provided for campers on Oaks Day for an additional fee.

Zaniac- Oaks Day Discovery Day Camp, 9am – 8pm. Half day options also available for Oaks Day. Derby Day Discovery Day Camp, 9am – 8pm. Both Oaks & Derby camp include dinner and snacks. Campers will need to bring lunch. Explore engineering concepts and science through LEGO/robotics and MINECRAFT as well as game design in computer  programming and 3D printing.


Oaks Day Only Camps

All About Kids Louisville– Day camp from 9am – 5pm. Early drop off and late pickup options also available.

Hwang’s Martial Arts– Typically offers camps for Oaks. Watch their Facebook page for details.

KaZoing– Full and half day camp options available. Oaks Fun Day 10am – 2pm.

Kentucky Science Center– 8 am – 5 pm. School’s Out Science Camp. Theme varies per age group.

Louisville Equestrian Center– 9am – 6pm. Early drop off and late pick up available. Learn about horse racing, design a jockey silk, decorate a derby hat and more! 502-477-0830.

Power and Grace Gymnastics–  Full day 9am – 4pm or partial day 11:30am – 3pm. Organized play days with open gym time, craft time, and structured gymnastics class.

Turnip the Beet– 9 am – 2 pm Oaks Day-Derby Foods. Includes lunch. Ages 7 and up.


Derby Day Only Camps

Abigail Academy– 12 – 9pm. “All Things KY Derby” Theme – Arts, Crafts & Cooking with Meaning. Girls 5-13 yrs old.
