Weekend Picks: April 13-15
Start your weekend off by doing good! Join our Facebook Group that’s all about giving back to our local teachers. Act fast, we funded a campaign last week by 9am!
Wow! Get outside! Picks a favorite park to enjoy, maybe Iroquois Park. Why do I pick that park? It’s close to Cocoberry Pops and when it’s going to be 80 degrees, I think about frozen treats. These pops are simply fruit and organic cane sugar, no fake stuff. Check it out after some outdoor time!
Keep an eye on the sky for possible interruptions but start the day off at the Carnegie Center, they have a free Derby hat craft workshop from 10am-noon. Registration is encouraged. See details here.
For indoor fun, head to the Louisville Health Kick Festival to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. It’s from noon-4pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, free admission for kids age 4 and under.
If the weather looks good, head to Slugger Field to cheer for LouCity FC to keep their undefeated record. The game starts at 7:30pm against the Richmond Kickers.
Can your family give a day back to the community? How about Sunday? Go to this website and see the projects that need assistance and choose one to do as a family. Giving back to others is the best way to have fun together! If there’s nothing on Sunday that you want to do, there are drives for supplies that you can complete together on Sunday together. This is part of the Mayor’s Week of Service.
