Hometown Tourist – Spirited City

Louisville is an amazing city, as we know. During May, our Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau likes to celebrate our hometown pride. For the past few years, it has been the Hometown Tourist Celebration with discounts for locals. This year, they are running a #SpiritedCity initiative.

You can submit stories and photos to be featured on their website. And, there are events to showcase our love of Louisville or explore new-to-you areas.

Events

May 10, 11 am to 1:30 pm: Head to 4th Street Live! for a kick-off event, featuring an amazing showcase of over attractions and restaurants. You can win some Louisville swag, and there will be a presentation by Louisville’s Mayor Greg Fischer, Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Tourism Kristen Branscum, and Louisville CVB President & CEO-Karen Williams.
May 10, 17 & 24– 11 am to 2 pm: There will be a sidewalk sale at the Louisville Visitor Center (Corner of 4th & Jefferson).
FREE Neighborhood Tour Series:
These are free guided tours by an ambassador who lives in the neighborhood. This is your opportunity to learn about that area, find a new place to maybe shop or eat, and find a hidden gem. Wear comfy shoes! To register, visit GoToLouisville.com/SpiritedCity or see the links below.
