Celebrate summer festivals! Lots of Louisville area families go on vacation during the summer but what about those other weeks when you are in town? These summer festivals are a great option and many of them are free!

SummerFest– Skyview Park, 6:30pm-11:00pm, free. Fireworks, free refreshments, DJ and fun!
June 1-2
Portland Festival- In its 44th year & fundraising for various community charities.
Louisville Greek Festival– Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Friday 4pm-11pm-Saturday 11am-11pm.
June 2
GlobaLou: Americana’s Celebration of Diversity & Community– Iroquois Amphitheater, 11am-8pm, free.
June 2-3
Butchertown Art Fair, 800-900 blocks of East Washington St, Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 11am-5pm.
June 2-July 15
Highlands Renaissance Festival-Eminence, KY, starts at 10:00 am each day, tickets ~$7.00-$12.00

Upper Highlands Festival– Atherton High School front lawn, 11:00am-3:00pm, free.
June 9-10
Art on the Parish Green, Historic Downtown New Albany, Sat 1:00pm-6:00pm, Sun 11:30am-5:00pm.

Family Farm & Forage Day– Farnsley-Moremen Landing 10:00am-4:00pm, free.

St. Joseph Childers’s Home Picnic, St. Joseph Children’s Home, Fri 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sat noon-midnight.

The Kentucky State Fair– Times very, parking $8 per vehicle.
