Are you ready for free March events? We are! March brings cold rainy days, beautiful spring-like days and everything in between.

Make the most of this season-shifting month with some FREE family fun!

Free admission all month at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens in Crestwood.  Explore the grounds, take a hike, relax with a good book or picnic lunch! Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm

Saturday, March 9 Douglass Loop Farmers Market Opening Day 10am-2pm

Saturday, March 2 ECO Kids Discovery Days: Conifers at Bernheim Forest Volunteer led activities 1-4pm, hike at 2pm. Self-guided 9am-5pm. (Admission free, but there is a $5/carload environmental fee for non-members.)

Saturday, March 2 Family Art – paint-a-pot at Louisville Public Library (Southwest) 2-3pm, call 502-933-0029 to register.

Saturday, March 2 Home Depot Kids Workshop: Clock Tray. Register online. 9am-12pm

Saturday, March 9 Pie & Pi Day. Fun math and mini-pie making at Shawnee Library. 1-2pm for kids in grades K-6.

Saturday, March 9 St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Baxter Ave/Bardstown Rd. 3pm

Saturday, March 9 & Sunday March 10 Flea Off Market 11am-6pm on Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday

Sunday, March 10 Bagels & Babies with Shalom Baby of Louisville. 10:00 -11:30am. Register in advance.

Thursday, March 21 Kentucky Science Center Free Playdate for children ages 0-4 and their caregivers. 5-7pm

Saturday, March 16 ECO Kids Discovery Days: Spring Lookout at Bernheim Forest Volunteer led activities 1-4pm, hike at 2pm. Self-guided 9am-5pm

Saturday, March 23 Family Puppet Theatre at Main Library in Louisville. 2:00-3:30pm for ages 3-12.

Saturday, March 30 Drag Queen Storytime at Southwest Library. 10-11am.

Sunday, March 31 Pixie Dust DIY Workshop celebration. 2-5pm. Free kids painting, snacks, drinks, and facepainting.
