Plehn’s Bakery is another long-standing bakery in the Louisville area is. Stop in for a Valentine’s treat or pick up a dessert for the family.

Sweet Events & other ideas for the Whole Family 

Send a free Valentine’s Day Card to a patient at Norton Children’s Hospital. You have the option of getting a stuffed animal. Between now and Feb. 9, you can head over to NortonChildrens.com/Valentine to send a free card to a patient.

Morning Fork’s Annual LOVE Brunch is back to celebrate Valentine’s Week Wednesday Feb 7th thru 11th at Morning Fork. Featuring Red Velvet Pancakes & Shareable Valentine Breakfast Board that includes valentine candy, waffles, pancakes, butter, syrup, chocolate dipped strawberries and fresh fruit.

Whet Your Palette has drop-in painting. The whole family can get crafty and paint what they like! Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 10pm and Sunday 12 – 7pm.

For adults, Cooking at Millie’s is offering cooking workshops. These are really fun for couples. 

Join Paint It Sweet for a fun-filled Valentine’s Day celebration at the Mellwood Art Center with a Paint Party! This event is specially designed for kids aged 12 and under. Saturday, February 10th at 1pm.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day in two unique ways. Guests will be seated in the historic 1895 mansion, partaking of sweets, savories and unlimited tea. Afterwards, explore the home at your leisure for a self-guided tour. As always, our 11am Valentine’s Day Tea is Kid-Friendly (with their 1pm tea an adults only event). Saturday, February 10th at The Conrad-Caldwell House.

Ah Whatta ‘Bout Mimi Adopt a Grandparent

Adopt a grandparent for Valentine’s Day. Ah, Whatta ‘Bout Mimi has partnered with Hillcrest Village. You can order a balloon treat for one of the residents and totally light up their day. Place orders here.

Give your sweetie the moon, the stars, and a romantic treat by a warm bonfire! This year’s Valentine’s Day Hike will include two options: a candlelit hike with hot chocolate for you and your partner or a candlelit hike leading to a private bonfire with a table for two and a s’mores kit (welcome to bring your own picnic dinner).
