Summer festivals in Louisville are fun for the entire family!

Celebrate summer festivals! Lots of Louisville area families go on vacation during the summer but what about those other weeks when you are in town? These summer festivals are a great option and many of them are free!

May 23-27 Abbey Road On The River– Big Four Station Park, Jeffersonville, IN.


May 31
SummerFest– Skyview Park, 6:30pm-11:00pm, free. Fireworks, free refreshments, DJ and fun!

June 1
GlobaLou: Americana’s Celebration of Diversity & Community– Iroquois Amphitheater, 11am-7pm, free.

SPLASHfest 2019– E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park- This event includes half priced admission from 12pm to 2pm, live music, free giveaways and door prizes including family sized season passes to our public pool and splash pad.

Portland Festival– In its 45th year & fundraising for various community charities.
Louisville Greek Festival– Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Friday June 7 4pm-11pm-Saturday 8 11am-11pm.

Butchertown Art Fair, 800-900 blocks of East Washington St, Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 11am-5pm.

Upper Highlands Festival– Atherton High School front lawn, 11:00am-3:00pm, free.

Art on the Parish Green, Historic Downtown New Albany, Sat 1:00pm-6:00pm, Sun 11:30am-5:00pm.

Family Farm & Forage Day– Farnsley-Moremen Landing 10:00am-3:00pm, free.

Lyndon Summer Festival -Robsion Park- Enjoy food, free music, and entertainment.

Riverview Independence Festival, Riverview Park, 5:00pm-10:00pm, free.

FridayFest at Highview Park-Local vendors will be on hand with a variety of food options, and people are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the show.

Fandomefest– The Kentucky Expo Center, cost and times vary, check website.

St. Joseph Childers’s Home Picnic, St. Joseph Children’s Home, Fri 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sat noon-midnight.

The Kentucky State Fair– Times very, parking $10 per vehicle and entry fee. See link for details.

June 2-July 15
Highlands Renaissance Festival-Eminence, KY, starts at 10:00 am each day, tickets ~$7.00-$12.00
