The leaves and the temperatures are falling, but the family fun continues with free November events.

Free November Events

Louisville is filled with family fun in November and many of the events are free. We have selected a wide variety of events for the whole family, even teens! Grab a cup of hot cocoa, sit down beside the fire and mark your calendar with free November events.

FREE Playdates the 3rd Thursday of every month for children ages 0-4 and their caregivers at the Science Center.


Free admission to Speed Art Museum.

Día de los Muertos will be celebrated in Louisville- 4th St in Downtown Louisville, 5pm-10pm.

Open Studio Weekend – various location around the city, 12-6pm both days.

4th Annual Buechel Train Depot Trunk or Treat – Buechel Train Depot, 5pm-8pm.

Fall Ornament Event – Meijer on Preston, 10am-2pm.

Dino-vember – Monday Movie Night – Southwest Library, 6-8pm

Harvest Craft – Learning Express and Toys of Louisville, 12pm-1pm.

Arts in Play Family Playgroup – Family Health Center Broadway, 10am-11:215pm.

Fern Creek Library Days – Fern Creek Community Center – 10am-4pm. 

November 8

Fall Harvest Hayride – Lapping Park, Clarksville, IN, 6-8:30pm.

Family STEAM Day – South Central Regional Library, 10am-4pm.

KMAC Family Fun Day – KMAC Museum, 11am-3pm.

Guided Hike for Veterans Day Weekend -t Jefferson Memorial Forest . Families can meet at Tom Wallace Recreation Parking Lost at 9:00am. It is strenuous.

The Fly Market’s Community Free Outdoor Flea – on Mellwood – 10am-4pm

Veteran Day Parade– Main St., 11am-1pm

Pokemon Trading – Learning Express Toys of Louisville – 4:30-5:45

Nutcracker Family Storytime – Various Library location 6:30-7:30

November 29 

Light Up Louisville in downtown Louisville. It starts at 4:00 p.m. with children’s activities, live entertainment, a parade, and appearance by Santa Claus!

November 30

Holiday Dance Party for Kids – Southwest Library, 10am-11am. 

Stocking Ornament – Home Depot, all locations, 9am-12pm.
