New Year’s Eve plans change a bit for a lot of people once they have kids. But still, families are looking for fun. Here are some ideas for New Year’s Eve family fun in Louisville. 

Fun ideas for at home!

New Year’s Eve with kids can be fun! It is a great time to stay home and hang out with the family. If you want to hang out at home, maybe get cozy with pajamas and games, get some sparkling cider, watch a movie. There are things to do with for New Year’s Eve with kids or if you need childcare for the kids. But, it is not the most popular family fun day with tons of things planned around town.

Overnight for kids:

If you want to go out on the town and need a place for the kids, there are places around town that offer a great service.

For instance, All About Kids offers a slumber party on the 31st.  There’s an overnight option and a late night pick-up option.

Family Fun together:

Dave & Busters is offering an exciting and FUN way for you & your family to ring in the New Year! Designed for families, this event will run from 5 -8 PM. Package descriptions and ticket info here

The Kentucky Science Center has a NOON Year’s celebration on the 31st and 1st, details HERE.

Purrfect Day Café is having a New Year’s celebration starting at 11am on the 31st with crafts, snacks, and of course…..cats. We recommend booking in advance.

Main Event New Year’s Eve Madness – starting at 4pm. choose between all you can play activities or video games for only $14.99 per guest. Plus, take advantage of our Kids Eat Free special and enjoy one free kids meal when you purchase one food item for $8.99 or more.

Make art together at Side by Side Studio, they have open studio time on the 31st.

Go shopping at the Kentucky Flea Market New Year’s Spectacular. It’s at the Kentucky Expo Center and admission is free. Details here.

39th Annual Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival is December 29-31 at St. Paul United Methodist Church. There are free performances (free, but you need to get tickets) and a paid ticketed candlelight dinner. Details here.
