Don’t despair. The weather is looking excellent for the weekend. As we have shown you all summer long, Louisville families can find fun all around us. You might have to step out of your comfort zone and try new things, but there’s certainly plenty to do.

We have found that outdoor areas are amazing around our city. There are so many parks and creeks, lots tucked away where you didn’t know it was there. Trust us, your kids will love new adventures.

Your family is still looking for fun. What is there to do?

Support our state parks!

Lakes

Catch the waves (not really but, I’m trying here…ok?!) at a local lake. We have some options here. Many of the beaches will close after Labor Day Weekend.

Catch a free outdoor movie in Clarksville!

Holiday World – This Indiana amusement park is open for Labor Day weekend.

Belle of Louisville had brunch cruises on the Mary T. Miller and they have a set of coronavirus protocols that they are following. Catch the breeze out on the Ohio and relax on the boat ride.

Have a Kentucky Derby party at home with your family. We have fun ideas for a Kentucky Derby Party at home. We even had one this spring when there were no races and the kids loved the food! The mint mock juleps are really good and there are so many hot brown-like items you can make.
