YMCA Camp Piomingo Family Camp
Did you kids miss camp this summer? YMCA Camp Piomingo is hosting Family Camp weekend
Spend a weekend at camp with your kids. A getaway to the woods full of camp activities for a couple of days.
YMCA Camp Piomingo is hosting Family Camp! This is your opportunity to take your kids to camp and stay with them. They will have activities throughout the camp open for families to enjoy and that campfire experience that will take you back to your own childhood camp days. Hey, if you have never been to overnight camp, here is your chance. Also, if you child is thinking about sleepaway camp next year, this is a way to try it out.
From a reader “There was plenty of time to do other camp favorites, including the pipeline slide (opened upon request). The staff did a good job of marking disinfected items vs. return here to be disinfected items (balls, the slides, bows, etc.), and you could regularly see them driving the golf cart around camp to check on items needing cleaning between users. It was a good way to enjoy camp favorites over a weekend.”
Friday, September 25th check in between 5 pm – 7 pm
Sunday, September 27th check out by 2 pm
$140 per person (no fee for children 2 years old and under are FREE!)
Each family will have their own cabin. A family is defined by a household currently live together. Limited space is available to allow for proper social distancing guidelines and best practices through the pandemic. All minors must be with an adult that is responsible for them! No, your pet can’s come. Act quickly if you are interested!
Some activities will be open for you to do with your family when you want. Some other activities will be scheduled and staff led so you can really feel like you are at camp. Examples of activities are archery, swimming, fire building, arts and craft, and hiking but that is not all the offer at family camp weekend.
Camp Piomingo will host evening programs with a campfire, s’mores, and hikes. Bring your bikes and helmets – there are mountain bike trails you can use in the Otter Creek Recreational Area.
You don’t have to worry about meals. At family camp weekend, they will have meals in a grab-n-go style from the dining hall and you can enjoy eating outdoors, they will have seating available for families. (First meal is Saturday breakfast so eat dinner before you go on Friday)
Wondering what you SHOULD bring to family camp weekend? Here’s the packing list.
