There is a new, free exhibit at Bowman Field recognizing Black achievement in aviation. Throughout February, The Sky’s the Limit: A Celebration of the History of Black Achievement in Aviation will highlight the efforts by men and women from flight and space travel. Learn about Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman to receive a pilot’s license and  Katherine Johnson who worked at NASA putting astronauts into space. The exhibit is open all of February 2021. Open Mondays through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bowman Field in the Art-Deco terminal building located at 2815 Taylorsville Road. It’s a really cool building to explore as well!
