What fun things are there to do for Mother’s day in Louisville?

Belle of Louisville: Sunset cruise on May 8th for Mother’s Day weekend. Music, snacks, drinks and hopefully a gorgeous sunset over the water. Mom would like that!

Brew & Sip Coffee Bar: Mommy and Me Princess Tea, featuring, special guest, Princess Tiana. Saturday May, 8th from 12:00 – 2:00pm. Tickets are $45. Contact Bquare3802@gmail.com to register. 

Churchill Downs: Make Mother’s day in Louisville a special day at Churchill Downs. Enjoy watching live racing with the family while enjoying a brunch menu. Reserved Dining Tickets start at $45. Churchill Downs general admission is $5 per person and reserved seating is $12 per person. Gates open at 11:30am. Due to social distancing, General Admission will be sold as a first floor box seat or bleacher seating.

Fleur de Tea: This new tea shop in Norton Commons offers teas from all over the world, from classic black and green teas to modern bubble tea. Sit and relax while sipping on a delicious drink or take it to go while strolling the neighborhood.

Frazier History Museum: Take Mom to check out the limited time Suffrage exhibit. On August 18, 2020, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, granting women the legal right to vote. 

Flying Cross Farm Mother’s Day Mini Trial I & II: A fun competition for riders and horses of all levels! Choose to compete Saturday, Sunday or BOTH! Follow this LINK to sign up.

Joe Huber’s Family Farm and Restaurant: Mother’s Day Buffet ($21.99 ages 12+, $9.99 kids 4-11). 11:00am – 7:00pm. Reservations strongly recommended by calling 812-923-5255.

LouCity FC vs Birmingham Legion: Treat mom to a soccer game for Mother’s day in Louisville, Saturday, May 8th at 7:30pm. 

Louisville Bats vs. Columbus Clippers: Take mom out to the ballgame! Children ages 3-12 receive one free kids’ meal.

The Louisville Zoo: All local moms who purchase tickets to visit the Zoo on Mother’s Day will receive free standard admission tickets that can be used on a later date of their choosing in 2021, courtesy of Ford Motor Company.

Mother’s Day Bash at Union Restaurant and GameYard: A mini workout with iStroll, followed by games for the kiddos and giveaways of over $500 for the mamas. Friday May 7th, 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Mother’s Day Breakfast at Sellersburg Moose Family Center: Breakfast provided by LOOM from 9:00am – 11:00am.

Mother’s Day Brunch at River House Restaurant and Raw Bar: 11:00am – 3:00pm. 

Mother’s Day Carryout from University Club Louisville: UofL Dining is offering some of their most popular carry-out meals. Orders must be placed by April 30th and are available for pickup at the University Club on May 8th. Mother’s Day Market: Visit the Sunflower Market at Lambrecht Farm in Bedford IN. Antique, boutique, handmade and vintage vendors, petting zoo, live music and food trucks.

Shakespeare in Broad Run Park: Presenting Romeo & Juliet. 2:00pm. This is a FREE family-friendly event and super fun for Mother’s day in Louisville!

Waterfront Botanical Gardens: Mom & Me Flower Crowns and Boutonnieres workshop for moms and their middle or high schooler. Sunday, May 2 from 2:00 – 3:00pm. $20 per participant (all moms free with paid middle or high schooler).

Wild Lights at the Louisville Zoo: See the Zoo in a whole new light as you enjoy one of the largest lantern festivals in the nation. Begins at 6:30pm. Advance tickets are required for all guests and members. General admission for ages 3 and up is $20/person (members $17). Family 4 pack $60 ($54 for members). $6 parking fee.
