Take your family out to enjoy some of the events in May. The sun is shining and the temperature is warming up. It’s the perfect month to explore all that Louisville has to offer.

Here are some lists we already have:

Splash– Water at Marshall Playground and Sprayground and Cliffside Playground and Sprayground turns on May 1 at 10am. FREE 

Every Sunday (Until June 2021)
Speed Museum admission is Free from 12pm-5pm.

Every Saturday
Farm Animal Feeding at Blackacre Conservancy at 9:30am May 4th- Labor Day. 

Every Friday
Tiny Art Tales at KMAC Museum for preschool aged kids & their parents. 10:30 – 11:15am online.

Wednesday, May 4

Say and Play with Words (ONLINE) – 10:00am-11:00am and 6:30-7:30pm. Talk builds babies’ brains! Learn about talking more with your child during normal routines, while out, and during storytime. Use a “talk pedometer” to find out the number of words your child hears each day. Receive toys, books, and gift cards.


Friday, May 7
First Friday Trolley Hop, 11:00am – 11:00pm.


Saturday, May 8

Family Tree Foundation Craft & Vendor Show – 10:00am-4:00pm. Cliffside Center at the entrance of Broad Run Park. Over 50 vendors along with food trucks! Help support your local artists and small businesses while enjoying a fun day at the park!

Community Baby Shower – Clark Count Indiana, 1:00pm-2:00pm. In cooperation with CMH, they are holding a free drive-thru baby shower for anyone expecting a new addition! Goodies and door prizes available.


Saturday, May 8 – Sunday, May 9
The Flea Off Market– 11am-5pm (both days).

The Flea Off Market is Louisville’s monthly pop-up flea market, with food trucks, craft beer & cocktails, great vendors, live music, entertainment & more.


Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16

Norton Commons Art Festival: 11:00am-5:00pm, both days. 


Saturday, May 15

Drive-Thru Preschool Party – 10:00 am-12:00 pm, Southern High School.

Come drive-thru at Southern High School and wave to some of your favorite children’s book characters, including, Elephant & Piggie, Pete the Cat, a Wild Thing, Cookie Mouse, Froggy, and Biscuit.
 
Each child will receive a free book and goodies from community partners. This program is sponsored by the Jefferson County Community Early Childhood Council.

Saturday, May 22 

Walk and Roll for Kids Center 8:00am-12:00pm, Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies. Walk and Roll is a fun, kid-friendly, and entirely accessible fundraising event to support Kids Center.
