Memorial Day Weekend Family Fun Events.
As things are slowly returning back to normal and the weather is warming up, Memorial Day plans are in the works. We are celebrating with family fun events and grilling out.
KY Flea Market Memorial Day Spectacular – May 28,29,30 at the KY Expo Center – West Wing. Hours: Fri 10-6 / Sat 10-6 / Sun 11-5 / Sun 10-5. Admission is free, parking is $10 per vehicle but you get $5 cashback with any purchase.
Penny Lane at the Park – Saturday, May 29th and Sunday, May 30th at the Big Four Station Park in Jeffersonville, IN. The event will feature non-stop music on two stages from 10-12 bands (listed below) including The Newbees, Hard Day’s Night, The Rigby’s, Louisville’s School of Rock, and special guests all the way from San Juan Puerto Rico – the Jukebox Beatles.
Mayor’s Hike, Bike and Paddle – Thousands of cyclists, paddlers and walkers will be on the move again at the Mayor’s Hike, Bike & Paddle Monday, May 31 as it returns for a 17th consecutive Memorial Day at Waterfront Park. All portions of the event have been reworked to ensure participants will be socially distanced.
Market on Mellwood – Saturday, May 29, 10:30-4:30.Crafts, food, beer, games, and prizes…and maybe even a surprise or two. Kid friendly. Free parking; no charge to attend.
Most pools in the area will be opening this weekend. Many of the area pools are open to the public with a small entry fee. Some are operating at less capacity so be sure to check with them.
The Awesome Lazy River will be opening up on Friday at 10am and will be a great place to cool off and enjoy some relaxing family time.
