Where can kids learn archery in Louisville?
Does your child have a newfound interest in a learning archery? Maybe even you do? E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park archery in Louisville lessons that are affordable. You have to act fast to get a spot because they fill up quickly. You must fill out a registration form send it back to the appropriate email so we can get you signed up and ready to shoot! These programs do tend to fill up fast. The quickest way to get a spot is to call and register and pay for an open spot.
They have beginner archery lessons starting August 2021. You must download and complete the application. They do not have online registration. Click the image for the downloadable form. Families can learn together or there are sessions just for kids.

They follow the rules of the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP). The archery in Louisville sessions take place once a week in the early evening and run $55 for four 1-hour-long lessons. I think that was pretty reasonable and they provide all of the equipment.
Also, they have an archery camp coming up and they have openings. It is three days for kids ages 7-13 and costs $150. The camp is geared towards improving consistency and accuracy as well as learning the history of archery. Click the image below to download the registration form. They do not have only registration.

In past years, Jefferson Memorial Forest has also offered an archery in Louisville program where children over the age of 8 can learn to shoot a bow and arrow.
Another option to get involved with Archery is through your local 4-H. Contact the archery programs and clubs with the Cooperative Extension Office in Jefferson County. Call 502-569-2344 for more information. There is also a 4-H Shooting Sports Program with the Oldham County Extension Office; 502-222-9453 or 502-222-1983.
Also, National Tournament with NASP often takes place in Louisville. This is a fun event for participating but also learning more about the sport.
