Free November Events

Louisville is filled with family fun in November and many of the events are free. We have selected a wide variety of events for the whole family, even teens!

Grab a cup of hot cocoa, sit down beside the fire and mark your calendar with free November events.

Arts in Play Virtual Playgroup – Thursdays at 11:00am

Annual Bonfire, Hayrides, Cookout and The Rigby’s at Turtle Run Winery – November 6, 1:30-8:00pm

Try Hockey for Free – November 6 at Iceland Sports Complex, 3:45-4:45pm. Ages 4-11

Falling for Food – November 6 at Louisville Grows Healthy House, from 10:00-11:30am. This will introduce teens to home canning methods and fall flavors. Teens will learn how to make popular Fall sauces, spreads and condiments that pair well with seasonal food and Holiday meals. Ages 12-15 

Kentucky Veteran’s Day Parade – November 6 from 11:00am-3:00pm. Parade Units will be on display as you parade by in your vehicle to cheer them on. Southeast Christian Church

StageOne Family Theatre Presents Storytellers – November 6 at the Southwest Library, from 2:00-3:00pm. This storybook program takes children’s favorite books and brings them to life in a way that’s as unique and exciting as the stories themselves.

Veteran’s Day Celebration – November 7 at 4:00pm. The American Legion G.I. Joe Post #244 and the City of Jeffersontown will host veterans, active duty military and the general public to the 26th Annual Veterans Day Program at the Veterans Plaza, Veterans Memorial Park on Taylorsville Road.

Campfire Cookout – November 13 at HoneyBear Farms. Join them for their monthly cookout with food to just chill and enjoy. Bring the whole family, talk about bees, and tour the bee yard! 6:00-9:00pm

Middletown Library Grand Opening – November 15th, at 10:00am. Join us for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and be among the first patrons to check out books at the new library (located at 12556 Shelbyville Road).  

Tuesday Night Post-Up at the Outpost – November 16th at the Highlands/Shelby Library. Join them at the Teen Outpost for a casual session of video games, board games, movies, and making new friends! For Middle and High School students. 6:00-8:00pm

DIY Woodcut Earrings – November 20th at the Western Library from 2:00-3:00pm. Assemble and customize a pair of unique woodcut earrings, supplies will be provided. Registration is required.

Free Christmas Lights Displays – There are two lights displays that are really wonderful. We will be updating this post about dates when they begin, stay tuned here
