2021 may prove to be a difficult year for many of the traditional holiday events in Louisville that you have grown to love but we will check all of the Christmas events in Louisville of the past and look for new ones. Please check back often as this is a work in progress!

A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play– Actors Theater’s spirited audio production, streaming November 16 – December 31st. 

A Christmas Carol – Actor’s Theatre. From December 16th-19th, our first opportunity to welcome audiences back into the Bingham Theatre will be an exploratory lab production of A Christmas Carol that mixes old and new media. 

The Sauerbeck Family Drive-In plans to play holiday movies all month long. Check their website for more details.

Willow Hope Farm Holiday Experience! For a $150 donation, enjoy a holiday-themed behind-the-scenes interactive tour at the Kentucky Humane Society’s equine barn, Willow Hope Farm, in Simpsonville KY. Fete de Noel – Paristown. Ice skating rink and winter market. Check their website for times, prices, and covid-19 guidelines. See more information on our ice skating post. One of the most fun Christmas Events in Louisville.

Holiday Brite Nite – Paddock Shops, 5:30-8:00pm. Santa arrives at 6:30pm

Holiday Cookie DecoratingJoin us for a Cookie Decorating PAWty! You will receive a bone shaped advent calendar for your pup AND get to decorate 25 dog bones to fill each slot! 2:00pm

Christmas Trees for Sale, HoneyBear Farms 4:00-7:00pm

Lights at Freeman Lake Park (Elizabethtown) – nightly from 6 – 11pm. Drive thru lights with fun themes like Rudolph, to Christmas themed Star Wars, nativity and more. You turn off your lights and turn on the music! It is free, donations accepted.

Southern Lights Holiday Festival – The Kentucky Horse Park – 5:30 pm-10pm. (Closed Christmas Eve)

November 26 

Light Up Louisville – We are excited to be bringing the fun of Light Up back to downtown this year as we welcome the REAL Santa Claus to our city! This year’s Light Up activities will include: Lots of Lights Parade on Jefferson Street, the vendor village with food, drinks and crafts to explore and so much more!

Charlestown’s Christmas City – Charlestown Indiana, 6pm. Lights stay on every night from 6-10pm until New Year’s Day. 

Roots 101 Fall Fest – African American Museum, 3:00-7:00pm

Light Up Bardstown – One Court Square, 6:00-8:00pm.

Yuletide at Yew Dell – Yew Dell Gardens, purchase a ticket in advance for a certain time for entrance and exit. (Weekends only)

Corydon Hometown Christmas – Christmas Village and Market in Bicentennial Park

November 26 – December 26

Winter Woods Spectacular in Iroquois Park benefiting the Louisville Parks Foundations. This is a ticketed event. Drive through the woods which are lit up with thousands of lights and beautiful wintry scenes. Tickets are $35 per car.

Light Up Jeffersonville & Holiday Parade – Warder Park, 4pm-7pm.

Barktown Rescue’s Pictures with Santa – Wickland, 12:00-6:00pm

Light Up New Albany – Bicentennial Park, 6:00pm

Santa’s Village – Union Restaurant & Gameyard, 12:00-4:00pm

Night at the Museum – Roots101:African American Museum, 5:30-8:30pm. Sankofa Tour especially for children, hot chocolate, gingerbread house-making, holiday crafts, story telling, Santa workshop & more.

Rudolph’s Run – New – An adventure in your car, solving clues to find the missing information to complete Santa’s List. If you complete the list, you will be entered to win a $100 gift card and they will draw a winner each week. They will event have a skating rink at the end.
