Shakespeare in the Park: The 62nd season of the FREE Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park May 24-August 6, 2023!

Free fun any day in Southern Indiana

Explore SoIN and earn fun prizes with the Southern Indiana FUN TRAIL! Kids of any age can follow the SoIN Fun Trail in Clark and Floyd counties. Visit the more than 50 spots on the Fun Trail to collect stickers and earn prizes. Click here to get your passport and learn more.

First Friday Hop – On the First Friday of every month, many Downtown art galleries, shops, boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment hot spots are open extended hours, holding live online events and offering specials, sales, refreshments, and live music. Go explore the 40+ unique boutiques, artists, galleries, eateries, and more along the Republic Bank First Friday Hop route.

Movie in the Park – Puss in Boots-The Last Wish, Join them for Movie in the Park to watch a movie on an LED screen with your family and friends before the sun goes down! At Gateway Park, all movies are 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 and open to the public. 7:30pm

Summer Reading Kickoff & Cultural Pass Showcase – Kick-off two great programs at the same big party at the Main Library! The Summer Reading & Cultural Pass Kickoff will feature hands-on crafts and activities, performances and MORE from the Library. 10am-1pm.

Americana will host their annual GlobaLou Festival on Saturday, June 3 from 11:00am to 4:00pm at Iroquois Park. GlobaLou is free to attend and open to the public. The festival is family-friendly and includes a kid zone featuring a bounce castle, scavenger hunt, and other exciting summer activities for children.

La Grange Artsfest 2023 – 9am-5pm on Main Street in La Grange. Shop for hand-created items from a variety of vendors and artists/artisans/makers and creators, eat/drink at our great local Main Street area restaurants and enjoy music on the street by local musicians.


June 3-4

20th Annual Wings For Kids Air Show – 11am-5pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm Sunday. This event will be held at Bill Fluke Air Field


June 4

Ali Festival Community Carnival – Expect face painting, food trucks, shopping, games, prizes, circus performers, and more! Families are welcome to join us at the Ali Center for this special free day, filled with activities for everyone. 12pm-5pm


June 7

Join everyone at the Iroquois Amphitheater for a FREE summer movie night featuring Encanto on Wednesday, June 7. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., movie starts at 8:30 p.m. Concessions and bar service available.

June 9

FridayFest at Highview Park With Mary Mary and School Of Rock Louisville starting at 6:30pm. Local vendors and food trucks will be on hand with a variety of food options, and people are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the show at Highview Park.

June 10

Touch a Truck – Kentucky Science Center, get hands on with a variety of trucks and equipment, from bucket trucks to city buses. Adults and kids alike will have the chance to dream big as they discover their favorite vehicles and meet the community helpers who make them go. 10:00am-2:00pm, free for My Big Little Adventure families or with regular admission to KSC.


June 10

Buy Local Fair Festival Plaza at Waterfront Park, 231 Witherspoon Ave.- We have been told the kids area is better than ever. Shop local at this great annual event or learn about a new-to-you local business. 


June 10-11

The Flea Off Market – Saturday 11:00am-6:00pm, Sunday 11:00am-5:00pm-1000 E Market St. at the Big Lot at 1000 E. Market St. in NuLu near Fresh Start Growers’ Supply.


June 14

Walking Wednesday – head to the Crescent Hill Reservoir and you get to go inside the gatehouse. See the times and details on our post, it is not open all day. 


June 28

WFPK Waterfront Wednesday Concert SeriesEnjoy live music at Waterfront Park, with the newly-added kid’s activity area on the lawn! The Big Four Lawn “opens” at 5pm, and the music begins promptly at 6pm.
