Free November Events
The leaves and the temperatures are falling, but the family fun continues with free November events.
Louisville is filled with family fun in November and many of the events are free. We have selected a wide variety of events for the whole family, even teens!
Grab a cup of hot cocoa, sit down beside the fire and mark your calendar with free November events.
Free admission to Speed Art Museum. Select special exhibitions will require an additional ticket purchase.

Try Hockey for Free – November 4 at Iceland Sports Complex, 5:00-6:00pm
Dia de los Muertos: Day of the Dead – November 4, Silver Street Park, New Albany, 12pm-4pm. From a screening of Coco to various interactive crafts and dance performances, this event has it all for a day of family fun!
Hayride on the Hill – Iroquois Park, November 5, 2:30-5:00pm. Hayride on the Hill is Olmsted Parks Conservancy’s signature fall event! Hayrides are free; food and drink are available for purchase.
Louisville Book Festival: November 10 & 11, 10 AM – 6 PM each day at the Kentucky International Convention Center. The entire event is free and open to the public. There are more than 140 authors of all genres attending, presentations for all ages, LFPL will be there, a few storybook characters will be there, and more!
Night Under the Stars – November 10, 6:00-9:00pm. Join The Louisville Astronomical Society and Louisville Parks and Recreation for a ‘Night Under the Stars’ at the Lannan Memorial Park. This event is free and snacks will be provided!
Once Upon an Orchestra – November 11, 2:00-3:00pm, Highlands/Shelby Park – Music of the Sea. Families are invited to join LO ensembles for these fun, interactive musical storytelling performances.
Kentucky Veteran’s Day Parade – November 11 from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Parade Units will be on display as you parade by in your vehicle to cheer them on. Jefferson Street, between 7th & 2nd.
Once Upon an Orchestra – November 22, 2:00-3:00pm, Southwest – Where the Wild Things Are. Families are invited to join LO ensembles for these fun, interactive musical storytelling performances.
Nature Play & Storytime – November 27, 10:30-11:30am. Jefferson Memorial Forest has partnered with the Fairdale Louisville Public Library for nature play and storytime! Join them at the Welcome Center (JMF) every 4th Monday this fall to explore creativity, romp in the nature play space, and hear nature-themed stories. Free and open to the public. Best for ages 6 &under.
Once Upon an Orchestra – November 29, 11:00am-12:00pm, Shively – Music of the Sea. Families are invited to join LO ensembles for these fun, interactive musical storytelling performances.
