The Parklands of Floyds Fork Outdoor Adventure Day Camps

The Parklands of Floyds Fork Outdoor Adventure Day Camps let kids experience nature up close through activities like creek walking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and biking. We offer these outdoor exploration-based camps to children in grades K–6 in the winter, spring, and summer as well as grades 7-10 in the summer.

Children participate in hands-on science investigations outdoors and in the classrooms at the PNC Achievement Center in Beckley Creek Park (Grades K-6) as well as The Parklands Administration Building in Pope Lick Park (Grades 7-10).

All camp programs balance in-classroom learning for elementary to middle grade kids with hands-on outdoor explorations, so kids can be kids. Depending on the season, activities include hiking, fishing, crafts, games, archery, kayaking, biking, creek walking, and weekly wildlife programs. Campers must bring a snack, a bottle of water, and their own sack lunch each day. Parklands Members receive a discounted camp price.

Camp hours are Mon-Fri 9 AM–4 PM. Drop-off is from 8:30 – 9 a.m. and pick-up is from 4 – 4:30 p.m.
