Ever wonder where the Zoo animal food comes from? Curious about when the animals see the “doctor”? In this exciting drop off program for kids 4-6 years old, you’ll visit zoo animal areas, exhibits and more to explore something new about the Zoo each week! Each Zoo Explorers program is 2 hours and will include zoo walks, hands on activities and guided experiences around the Zoo.
Join the delightful Robin Bloom for a storytime full of giggles, songs, and nature-inspired wonder! Perfect for little explorers ages 0–5, this enchanting visit brings the beauty of Discovery Meadow right to your neighborhood. Monday, 10:30am, Fairdale Library.
The Louisville Bats are taking on the Indianapolis Indians this week. They play Tuesday-Sunday with promotions everyday!
Join the La Grange Railroad Museum & Learning Center for Ernie’s Lil Engines, where they’re celebrating May themes and holidays with all our friends! This program is FREE and packed with fun activities designed for Babies through Pre-K, though all ages are welcome to join the fun. Every Tuesday from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm.
Surfside Summer Jams is an outdoor concert series that features local and regional bands EVERY THURSDAY, May-September. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. Bag chairs are encouraged for the lawn. The Depot features a full bar, food trucks, boutique shops and more! Doors open at 7 pm with a vinyl set by DJ Matt Anthony, then the band plays at 8 pm. Peptoc Hotline features pre-recorded life advice and encouraging messages from the students at West Side Elementary, a K-6th public school in rural Healdsburg, California. PRESS NUMBER…1 if you’re frustrated, 2 for life advice, 3 pep-talks by kindergarteners, 4 children laughing with delight and so much more!
Carmichael’s 2026 Reading Challenge BINGO is live! They have one for adults and one for kids. You have all year to work on getting a regular BINGO or a coverall; getting a coverall gives you an extra chance to win a gift card. Once you’re done, drop off your BINGO sheet at any of their stores.
The Library offers lots of free resources and programs to help students, parents, and educators succeed now that school is back in session. From online homework help and test prep classes to research tools and after-school programs, CHECK OUT WHAT LFPL HAS TO OFFER.
The Library has a new resource — Sensory Kits! Curated to offer families and individuals the opportunity to explore sensory-friendly experiences in the library and at home, sensory kits aim to support sensory development, provide educational enrichment, and foster meaningful connections through play and exploration. These sensory kits can be borrowed for up to 21-days and can be reserved for checkout at any LFPL branch.
KSC is happy to announce that the newly renovated Who Forted? exhibit is officially open and ready for you to visit anytime during Kentucky Science Center hours! Who Forted? has been transformed with exciting new features, including a dig pit, an exhilarating slide, and a vibrant mural, making it an interactive experience for all ages.
