Things to do this weekend in and around Louisville September 21,22,23
I hear by declare tonight family movie night! Ok, ok, I can’t really create a holiday or something like that but I just think with the cooler weather and predicted rain, it would be super wonderful to cozy up on the couch with the whole family with popcorn, special treats and watch a great flick. Maybe you all can whip up a new recipe together?
As for Saturday – I recommend the Nulu Fest. This is a great celebration of a revitalized (and still in progress) area of our city. I like heading to Nulu to partake in some coffee and goodies at Please &Thank You or Taco Punk, the Garage Bar is on my list of places to check out soon. So, this event is a nice opportunity to visit the area in a festival setting with vendors to browse, kids activities, music and good food. It starts up at 2pm and runs to 11pm (so it’s also great for a parent’s night out!!) on Market Street.
Saturday is also the Spiderman appearance at the Kentucky Railway Museum. If you are looking for a special outing, you can still give them a call and get tickets today!
Or, you can head on our to Mt. Washington for their big Crossroads Festival going on this weekend. It’s all things “festival” including vendors, games, food, rides and more.
On Sunday, take it easy. Do a craft or catch up on things around the house with the kids because after this weekend, the fall steps into high gear and you are going to want to have the time and energy to hit some great events. You can check out the LouFamFun Pinterest board for family fun ideas.
Of course, there’s some more choices on the calendar, enjoy your weekend!
