Things to do this weekend around Louisville – March 28,29,30

Family Adventure Day
Grandmother Power at Ali Center

I am going to say it.  I may jinx it, but I am going to go for it.  It’s going to be SUNNY on Saturday.  WARM – as in – you won’t need a hat and gloves!  FINALLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY!  Get up, dance, squeal (but take your allergy medicine, it’s coming…you know what I mean).

Fill today and tomorrow with outdoor fun.  Many of you will have your own plans on Sunday so I am focusing on the other days.

Go to a new park – explore – run – bring a ball, a picnic, a kite.  We highlight some fun parks in our recent post about 50+ FUN Free things to do in our area.

It’s the F.A.T. Trolley Hop tonight along Frankfort Ave.  Hop on and off the trolley for free starting at 6pm.  We usually find a spot to eat earlier (say Clifton’s Pizza) and park near there.  After dinner, we walk along The Avenue, hop on the trolley and ride around and find our way to The Comfy Cow for dessert. It’s right by Clifton’s so we will be right back by our car! Such a smarty pants I am!

U of L has home games for baseball this weekend. Yes, U of L has other sports besides basketball.  And, the baseball games are free to attend and parking is readily available near the stadium.  Spring perfection!  This Saturday, they play Notre Dame at 1pm. Go. Do it.  Saturday is Trading Card day!
From their website, you can also see the:
MLB’s Pitch, Hit, & Run: March 30 vs. Notre Dame, 1:00 p.m.
Join in Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit & Run competition and have a chance to reach the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game! PHR is a FREE, exciting skills event for boys and girls where participants have the opportunity to compete in four levels of competition. Louisville will host a local competition for kids ages 7 to 13. The event requires pre-registration (beginning in early March) and will be conducted on the field following the UofL-UND contest.

And, there’s a ton of Easter events this Saturday.  Here’s our Easter post and we have them listed on the calendar above. I’ll highlight the Jeffersontown Easterfest  and Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt in Jeffersonville (they even have an adult hunt!) as recommended family events.

Have a fabuLOUs weekend!
