Sports Fest Lou

Winter is in full force around here. WOW!  Does that mean you stay inside all day and not get out and explore? I like a balance! How about a mix this weekend? I am a bit bored of it so I am braving the weather and taking the family out for some fun this weekend…….indoors.

Friday

Stay in on Friday and enjoy a kids eat free deal from Papa John’s. The code is LFFKIDS and you get a free medium one topping pizza with the purchase of a large pizza at regular price. I am sure you all can find a game or movie to play too!

Or, head to the Kentucky Science Center after 5pm and it’s just $5! It’s open until 9pm so that’s a great deal if you stay the entire time.

Saturday

Love LEGOs?  BrickUniverse is in Louisville this weekend and it’s all about building block fun and families love these types of interactive events. It’s 10am-4pm on Saturday at the KY Expo Center. Tickets are $15 each for 6 hours of interactive fun.

Sunday

Just say no to rainy day blues! Sports Fest Louisville is taking place this weekend and will be a big event that’s fun for everyone.  Sunday, it’s 11am – 5pm. Admission is free for kids under the age of 5 and $10 for everyone else. It’s at the KY Expo Center so it’s a huge space to bring in a boxing ring, a real basketball court and so much for to see and do.

Also on Sunday, there’s an opportunity to see one of the best basketball teams in the nation – the UofL Women’s team! Youth tickets are just $6! The game starts at 2:00pm but there’s a pre-game event designed to get families plugged into the resources and activities they need to be heart-healthy.
