Most of these fall festivals take place on weekends so you can likely pick a few to put on your calendar and hope your busy schedule works out! Louisville is an amazing place to have fun in the fall and September does not disappoint.

September 1: Fleur De Flea Vintage Urban Market at Louisville Waterfront Park 9am-5pm

September 1: Home Depot Kids Workshop 9am-12pm

September 1-3: World Fest at the Belvedere Friday-Sunday 11am-11pm and Monday 11am-8pm

September 3: Subway Fresh Fit Hike, Bike & Paddle at Waterfront Park Great Lawn 8am-12pm

September 3: FamilyPalooza at Southeast Christian Church campuses, various times

September 3-9: Try The Y FREE during Community Week. Any Louisville location.

September 7: Friday at Floyd’s at Beckley Creek Park 5-9pm

September 7-8: Middletown’s Family Fun Festival & Craft Show Friday 6-9:30pm and Saturday 10am-9pm

September 8: Dragon Boat Festival at the Wharf at Waterfront Park (free to watch)

September 8: Highlands Festival 11am-8pm

September 9: Fall Arts Festival at the Josephine Sculpture Park in Frankfort 11am-6pm

September 9: The Louisville Orchestra at Iroquois Amphitheater Doors open at 6pm, show at 7pm

September 8-9: Big Four Bridge Arts Festival Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 10am-5pm

September 14-16: Gaslight Festival Various events during the week including parade, car show, balloon glow, art show, entertainment and more.

September 15: BugFest & Plant Sale at Bernheim Forest 9am-4pm

September 16: Louisville Maker Faire at FirstBuild 11am-5pm

September 16: Family Kite Festival at Riverside Farnsley-Moreman Landing 1-4pm

September 20: Playdates at the Kentucky Science Center 5-7pm

September 22: Girls in Aviation Day at Bowman Field 12-5pm

September 22: Mat Making for the Homeless with Compassionate Creations at The Table 11am-1pm
