June 1

Kids Fishing Derby, Mississinewa Lake – 8:30am, fun for the whole family and prizes for the kids. 

Americana Festival 2019 – 11:00am-8:00pm, Iroquois Amphitheater.

Family Fun Fishing Event at Falls of the Ohio: 10am – 4pm. Featuring Smokey the Bear, Clarksville’s Water Rescue Team, Q & A with conservation officer regarding fishing and hunting. Hands-on fishing related activities for all ages. Make driftwood art, participate in a Father’s Day scavenger hunt and enjoy photo-ops with a life-size model of a giant Megalodon shark jaw.

Fourth Anniversary Open House at Idlewild– 10:00am-5:00pm- Idlewild Butterfly Farm.

Butchertown Art Fair – 800-900 blocks of East Washington Street. More than 60 artists, entertainment for the whole family, food trucks and drinks.

Fish for free in Kentucky – On Saturday and Sunday, residents and non-residents can fish anywhere in Kentucky without a license or permit as part of the Department of Fish and Wildlife’s free fishing weekend.

19th Annual Wings For Kids Air Show – Starts at 4p both days – Bill Fluke Air Field.

Movies Under the Stars Presents: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse – 8:30pm, Iroquois Amphitheater.

June 7
Republic Bank First Friday HopHop aboard a trolley and explore all downtown has to offer– art, eats, sights and more!

School’s OUT Block Party – 5:00pm-8:00pm – Hope Place. Food, Games, Bouncy House, Slippin Slide, Face Painting, Henna, Basketball, Corn-hole.

Movie in the Park – Mary Poppins Returns – 9:00pm-11:00pm – Gateway Park.

Summer Kickoff Party – 6:00pm-8:30pm – Gateway Park, Clarksville, IN. Inflatables, laser tag, games, music, and food vendors. All activities are FREE and open to students and parents from all school districts.

June 8
Morp: The Monster Edition – 7:00-10:00pm, South Central Regional Library. Join teens around Louisville as we kick off Teen Summer Reading with lots of music, food and fun! Pull out your best monster attire and come dance with us as DJ L. Churchill spins on the 1’s and 2’s.

Louisville Open Air Fair – 10:00am-2:00pm – Sullivan University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Explore some of our city’s finest local crafts, artwork, produce, jewelry and more. Plenty of food and fun and free parking.

Louisville Greek Fest 2019 – 4:00-11:00pm. Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Family, Friends, Food, Fun, FREE ADMISSION AND FREE PARKING!

June 9
Bluegrass on the Beargrass – 2:30pm for a FREE music festival in Cherokee Park. Bluegrass on the Beargrass is a family (and dog) friendly bluegrass concert in Cherokee Park on Baringer Hill (Dog Hill).

June 7-9

Free Kids & Pros Camp – 6:00pm-9:00pm – Christian Academy of Louisville, 700 S. English Station Rd.. This event is free but you do need to register.

June 14-15
Danger Run: Free SUmmer Edition– Both nights start at 8:00pm – 501 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy. Be one of the very first to play the ALL NEW Danger Run for FREE!

June 15
Family Farm & Forage Day – 10:00am-3:00pm – Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing. Explore present-day and historic farming with the whole family at this former Ohio River farm site.

Shelby Park Neighborhood Bike-in – 5:00pn-11:00pm – Shelby Park. Like a drive-in, but with bicycles, this FREE community event features live music and a screening of the documentary Microcosmos. You don’t need to bring a bike to join in on the fun!

June 19
Juneteenth Jubilee – 7:30pm- 9:15:pm – Louisville Waterfront Park. This event will begin at 2nd and Main on the KFC Yum! Center Plaza with a community gathering in remembrance of the thousands of enslaved Africans sold at this site in the 1800s.

June 20
World Refugee Day Celebration – 11:00am-1:00pm – St Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church. A celebration featuring lots of international food, cultural performances, children’s activities, soccer games, henna tattoos and more.

June 22
Summer Studio Series: Tie-Dye T’s – 11:00am-4:00pm – Artist & Craftsman Supply Louisville . This is a free event – all materials will be provided!

June 26
WFPK Waterfront Wednesday Concert SeriesEnjoy live music at Waterfront Park, with the newly-added kid’s activity area on the lawn!

June 29
Riverview Independence FestivalEnjoy music, food, activities, and of course fireworks, all beginning at 5:00pm-10:00pm.
