Free fun any day in Southern Indiana

Explore SoIN and earn fun prizes with the Southern Indiana FUN TRAIL! Kids of any age can follow the SoIN Fun Trail in Clark and Floyd counties. Visit the more than 50 spots on the Fun Trail to collect stickers and earn prizes. Click here to get your passport and learn more.

7am to 3pm Join a few Princesses Elsa and Aurora, for Brunch at Morning Fork for a Fairy Tale Brunch, to create a magical experience for one and all. They will be here to take pictures, read stories and sing along to some of their favorite songs! The only cost is what you order off the menu.

Summer Reading Kickoff & Cultural Pass Showcase – The celebration will be outdoors at the Northeast Regional Library on Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Enjoy in-person activities and performances from the Library and Arts & Culture Alliance members.

La Grange Artsfest 2021 – 9am-5pm on Main Street in La Grange. Shop for hand-created items from a variety of vendors and artists/artisans/makers and creators, eat/drink at our great local Main Street area restaurants and enjoy music on the street by local musicians. First Friday Hop – On the First Friday of every month, many Downtown art galleries, shops, boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment hot spots are open extended hours, holding live online events and offering specials, sales, refreshments, and live music. Go explore the 40+ unique boutiques, artists, galleries, eateries, and more along the Republic Bank First Friday Hop route.

June 5-6

Free Fishing Weekend in Kentucky

Family Fun Fishing Event at Falls of the Ohio: 10am – 2pm. Activities include kid’s casting games, casting challenges, fly-tying, talk to experts about fish identification & tips for fishing at the Falls, water safety, and fishing regulations. Fossil bed hike 1:00 PM. Prizes provided for some activities. One-time $2 program fee covers every activity. Enjoy the exhibits & films in the Interpretive Center with a reduced admission – adults get in at the child’s price, $7 today only. $2 pay-to-park applies for the lot behind the Interpretive Center. 

20th Annual Wings For Kids Air Show – 10am-3pm each day. This event will be healed at Bill Fluke Air Field


June 11-12

*this event is not free but it is very affordable for a weekend family adventure.

Clarksville Family Campout – Spend a night sleeping under the stars at our Clarksville Family Campout in Colgate Park. Once your campsite is set up, enjoy an evening in the pool at Clarksville Cove Family Aquatic Center. You will even get to stay an extra hour after the pool closes to the public! We will end the night with s’mores and music by a campfire. We’ll provide the campfire and music, you bring your own s’mores. All camp sites must be cleared by 10am on Saturday. The fee is $15.00 per campsite, and you must register in advance. Each campsite will receive two wristbands good for admission to Clarksville Cove. Each additional wristband will be $5.00.

WFPK Waterfront Wednesday Concert SeriesEnjoy live music at Waterfront Park, with the newly-added kid’s activity area on the lawn! The Big Four Lawn “opens” at 5pm, and the music begins promptly at 6pm. To alleviate parking congestion caused by the KY/IN Bridges project, a free trolley service, courtesy of Republic Bank, will be offered between Witherspoon and the Big Four Lawn for people who park West of I-65. The Republic Bank Easy Trolley will run a continuous loop between 6:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. We strongly suggest parking West of I -65 in the Witherspoon, Humana and surface lots. Increased bicycle parking will be offered in the event area, courtesy of Parkside Bikes.

Riverview Independence FestivalEnjoy music, food, activities, and of course fireworks, all beginning at 5:00pm-10:00pm.
