Christmas Morning Café
Everyday is Christmas at Christmas Morning Café in Louisville
If you like an extra dose of whipped cream, coffee, and Christmas, this café is for you!
The Christmas Morning Café is open from 8am or 9am until 2pm with a delicious selection of breakfast and brunch dishes. Christmas Morning Café also specializes in coffee. Many of the menu items have a coffee, mocha, or latte drizzle. The owner actually roasts his own coffee off site, and I thought the sugar free pumpkin spice latté was the best one I’ve ever drank.
We parked on Frankfort Avenue right outside the Christmas Morning Café. There were plenty of spaces while we were there for breakfast
You can sit on the front porch, inside, or outside in the side yard under a tent cover. We chose to take the three tables on the front porch (each table seats two). The front porch is a nice place to watch the cars and occasional train go by, but the front porch Christmas music does compete with the restaurant across the street (which has a great selection, but doesn’t really go with Christmas).
There was lots of seating both indoors and outdoors, but for the full Christmas immersion, I recommend the indoor seating at Christmas Morning Café.
We ordered waffle sticks, French toast, breakfast burritos and specialty coffee. The portion sizes weren’t huge, but they didn’t leave us hungry – they were just right. We enjoyed the freshness of the fruit, and the sweetness of the meals. There was a lot of whipped cream with the sweet dishes, and most dishes can have a coffee flavored drizzle added to them.
Christmas Morning Café also has characters at the restaurant from time to time. Santa, Elsa, and the Grinch have all made appearances. At one point the owner came out with a Santa mask on and joked with my kids. The café has a great, family friendly atmosphere.
Christmas Morning Café also has a good selection of HoneyBear Farms honey for sale which was an unexpected treat! It’s a great partnership – the flavored honey was a sweet treat on some of our food!
Christmas Morning Café was a fun, unusual treat for us on a hot summer morning, and I’m looking forward to going back when it’s time to get in the Christmas spirit.
