Cabin Rentals near Louisville

Kentucky

There are options all over Louisville. This map helps you choose by area or by price.

Red River Gorge Cabin Rentals – Spend the days outdoors hiking and exploring the gorgeous Red River Gorge area and the evenings relaxing in your own cabin. They even have yurts! Rates depend on what your cabin has to offer but seem to range from about $99/night to $500/night. There are tiny cabins and ones that sleep 40! Some are pet-friendly.

Kentucky State Parks – Many of the state parks have lodging and then, some of them have cabins and cottages. We stayed at Barren River Lake in a cottage (pictured above in the main image and directly below) and it was really wonderful, like a home away from home. With the kitchens equipped with what you need, you can bring simple meal items for your stay.

Lee’s Ford Marina – Yes, it’s a marina but they also have cottages (some pet-friendly options). They also have house boats that you can rent if you want to be on the water of Lake Cumberland. We stayed in a house boat a couple of years ago and it was such a fun week. There’s plenty to do in the area, they have a jumping pillow to launch you into the lake, a pool, and restaurant. Bring floats and just relax in the water right off the side of your boat.

Lake Cumberland Resort III – Lake Cumberland is definitely a spot that people are looking at for this summer. This place has choices from 1 to 6 bedrooms, so there’s something for everyone. You can get up above the lake and really enjoy gorgeous views of Daniel Boone National Forest while still be close enough to the lake to partake in water sports and other fun.

Treehouse off the grid – Maybe the lake isn’t your thing and you want a secluded cabin in the woods. Located northeast of Lexington, this place was featured on Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet! There are creeks to explore (with a rope bridge to cross), bench swings, interesting architecture…an out house…. see tons more photos on their listing

Indiana

Brown County Indiana – We have this listed in our day trip options but it is also a fantastic option for a scenic getaway. You can search for a cabin based on the amenities you need, location of interest, and size. Check out this adorable cottage in the historic town of Nashville! In Brown County, there are tons of options for cabin rentals near Louisville.

Deam Lake – Most Louisville families know they can go to Deam Lake for the day of swimming or maybe some camping. But, they do have cabins. These are less glamorous cabins than some of the ones we have featured in this post, but maybe you are going for that more rustic adventure! You even have to bring your own air mattresses for the “beds.” Would be nice to disconnect for a bit!

Patoka Lake – FLOATING CABINS, did you hear that? Cabin rentals near Louisville that are actually ON the lake. The floating cabins are 2 or 3 bedrooms. They do have “land” cabins as well, holding up to 12 people.  There’s a winery too….definitely important to note!

Buffalo Trace Park – This Harrison County park is near Corydon. They have a swimming beach, boat rentals, petting zoo, disc golf, and trails! Plus….cabins. You can bring or rent linens and they do have AC! Your cabin will even have a fire ring outside for smores to close out a great day at the lake.

This list is not all of the options for cabin rentals near Louisville, but it’s a great place to start looking. Travel nearby is a great option for this summer. Pack up the car with gear, games, food, and the family and hit the road to a cabin nearby!
