Louisville Halloween presents the Ultimate Halloween Fest! This has been postponed until 2025.

The American HorrorPlex: Walk through the rusted and ramshackle gates to enter the Louisville area’s award winning haunted attraction. Screams fill the air as you wait your turn to explore the haunted halls, wander through a maze of maniacs, and try to escape with your mind and soul intact. Open every Friday and Saturday night, from 8pm until 1am. Sep 13, 2024 – Nov 2nd, 2024.Best for older teens

Halloween on Hillcrest is a legendary street for decorations in the Ville. If you are looking for a street to visit this Halloween, take a walk down Hillcrest to check out some of the most elaborate decorations you will find in any neighborhood in town. Most participating homeowners start decorating in early October and are fully decorated by the middle of the month. It is typically more crowded on the weekend than during the week. There are no set times, but it is best to come before 10pm to ensure the lights are still on in the yards. Parking is available on Hillcrest or any of the side streets.

Hillview Holiday Display – Their Halloween display is up and running to drive by and see! They will also be doing their 3rd Annual Scareforth Drive Haunt this year, check their Facebook page for all the details!

Baxter Avenue Morgue – September 13th – October 31st, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

Haunted Hotel – Fridays and Saturdays in September, Friday-Sundays in October.

Danger Run – September 27th-October 31st.

The Spirits of LaGrange Ghost Tour every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from September 26th-October 31st. Discover the strange things that happen in La Grange, a historic city founded in 1827 that has a train that runs down Main Street. Watch for ghost sightings along this candlelit outdoor walk that takes you inside some of our oldest buildings and down the famous Alley Loop.

Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom – By day, fly through the crisp October air on world-class rides, savor tasty autumn treats and discover new fall fun around every corner. After dark, watch the park transform into a whimsical wonderland of larger-than-life glow with towering pumpkin sculptures, illuminating experiences and glowing orange gourds lighting the way for endless fall family fun, like trick-or-treating and carnival games. October 3-27, Thursdays-Sundays.

The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is back to a walking tour in 2024 and opens at dusk. October 1- November 2 at Iroquois Park. Guests are treated to an organic art gallery of more than 5,000 artistically carved pumpkins in themed settings. This family-friendly event has become an annual tradition for thousands, who come back each year to experience a variety of themed vignettes, set to music. October 21st is Sensory Night (5:00pm). Join them for a special sensory-friendly an hour before the event opens to the public: designed for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to enjoy while it is still light outside.

Louisville Boo at the Zoo: September 28th-October 27th, Thursday through Sunday nights. Boo at the Zoo is rain or shine, no refunds or exchanges. To help manage attendance, all tickets must be purchased in advance on their website. Your party price includes ALL Boo at the Zoo rides, attractions and parking! Enjoy a spin on the Spooktacular Carousel. Get up close to REAL creepy crawlies at the walk-through, free-crawling “not-so-itsy-bitsy” Spider House. Hear the tale of the legendary Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.

Tickets: Tickets are $13.50 for non-members (both adults and children) and $7.00 for members (both adults and children). Children 2 and under are free and do not require a ticket. Tickets include Boo at the Zoo admission, parking, Spooktacular Carousel, “not-so itsy bitsy” Spider House and the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow attraction. Meijer Anytime Tickets are $11.50 and are available starting September 20th. On October 20th they will offer Sensory Friendly Hours.  October 23rd is allergy friendly night.

Halloween guests can begin entering the Zoo at their selected times, starting at 5 p.m. The trick-or-treat route closes at 10 p.m.


Open September 27th & 28th and October 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 11th. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $18.- Literally, A Haunted House at Culbertson Mansion in New Albany. 
 
Continuing their Halloween tradition, Kentucky Shakespeare utilizing silent disco headphone technology, audience members will move throughout an immersive world premiere production inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Enter Ghost, October 2-27, times vary by performance.
 
Dracula at the Clarksville Little Theatre, October 4th-13th. This adaptation of DRACULA is an action packed, blood soaked retelling of Bram Stoker’s classic tale of horror. Production dates are October 4, 5, 10, 11 & 12 at 7:30 p.m. and October 6 & 13 at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Autumn Express at Kentucky Railway Museum. Celebrate Autumn with a scenic train excursion and fun Fall activities. Enjoy the petting zoo, photo opportunities with Spike the Bear, pick a pumpkin from the patch and bounce away the day on the bounce house! September 28th.
 
Grim Trails – If you are looking for a scare! (Best for older children ages 12+). 8:00pm 12:00am, Fridays and Saturdays starting on September 13th. Tickets available on site during open hours or online.

Fall Harvest Festival – Jeptha Creed, October 5th, 12pm-6pm, Live music, local vendors, corn maze, food trucks, and more. Tickets are $25, children 3 years of age and younger do not need a ticket.
 
Gallrein Farms Fall Festival – October 5th, 10am-1pm, Enjoy Vibrant Colors, Meet their Adoptable Pups & Dogs, Delicious Food, and Fun Activities for All Ages.
 
Layered Paper Light Box – October 5, 10am, Create a fall decor centerpiece with layered paper and fairy lights. MakerPlace Workshops include general admission to Kentucky Science Center. 
 
Fall Festival – October 6th, Robison Park, 2:00-6:00pm. Food trucks, live music, pumpkin patch, and more.
 
The Haunted Hike – October 6, Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve offers Halloween fun for the entire family! This kid-friendly event features a mile-long Fantasy Kiddie Trail with lots of trick and treat stations, a Harvest Hay Village, Inflatable Party Zone, self-tours of our comic Haunted House, jungle hayrides, treat stations, face painting and fun activities for the entire family. 3 – 7 pm.

Halloween in Brown Park – Halloween events in Louisville – will be held on October 19th from 11:00am – 3:00pm!

Tailgate Treats – October 20th, 5:00-7:00pm, Middletown Christian Church. This is a free, safe community event. They will have food trucks with food for purchase, inflatables, and plenty of candy.  

Homerun Halloween – October 20th, 3-6pm. Ghosts and goblins at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory are ready to knock it out of the park once again with the 9th annual Home Run Halloween event. Kids receive free admission and adults are only $5.

Drive thru Trick or Treat at Farnsley-Moremen Landing on October 23rd from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.

Trick or Treat at the Ballpark, October 25th, 5pm. Louisville Slugger Field, The festivities include Trick-or-Treating around the concourse, pumpkin decorating, a costume contest on-field & a screening of Hotel Transylvania to end the night!

Real Haunted Happenings, Dark Corners of Corydon: Discover spooky and grim locations in historic downtown Corydon during this hour-long lantern-guided walking tour. Hear stories and legends of historic events that gives insight to the spirits thought to roam Corydon when the sun goes down. Recommended for ages 14+. October 25th & 26th (registration required).

Fright Fair on Spring Street – October 26th, 12:00-6:00pm, This FREE and Family Friendly Event will have over one 30 artisan booths, live music, beer, and grub. They will close the street from 12-6 to allow for shopping, trick-or-treating, street magic, face painting, aerial performances, and more!

Middletown’s Annual Trick or Treat, October 26th, 10am-12pm. Free trick or treating for children 12 and under, bounce houses, music, a booth decorating contest, and more.

Halloween MAINia in La Grange from 11am-3pm on October 26th. We will have booths with activities and the Candy Swap Shop for children who need to can swap out their candy for other treats.

Halloween Kids Cruise – Belle of Louisville, October 27th. This spooky (not scary!) family cruise departs at 1 P.M. and returns at 3 P.M. Halloween costumes and period apparel are encouraged for this Halloween cruise, but not required.    

Famiy Halloween Dance Party at Mike Linnig’s Retaurant on October 27th, 1-4pm.

Trunk or Treat event at Fern Creek Christian Church on Sunday, October 27th 5:00pm-7:30pm.

Crestwood United Methodist Church – Trunk or Treat, October 27th at 5:00-7:00pm.

Boo Dell at Yew Dell – October 27th, 12pm-4pm. Trail-o-Treats, plus activities with our Horticulture Team, live music, and other surprises for the whole family in a non-scary environment. Members are free, non-members have a fee. All tickets must be purchased in advance. 
 
3rd Annual Trunk or Treat – October 27th, 6pm. Stomping Grounds Coffee Co, join them for live music, fun and trunk or treating!
 
Boo Fest 2024 – October 28th, 5:30-8:00pm, Big Four Station Park. Trick or treating, food trucks, games, and more.

Woodlawn Halloween Doggie Parade & Street Festival –  The Doggie Parade kicks off the festivities at 3 p.m. followed by the Street Festival. Come enjoy great music, amazing food, and a variety of vendors while connecting with friends and neighbors at this family friendly event.

Trunk or Treat at Cardinal Stadium – 4:00-6:00pm. Dress up, receive awesome candy, play fun games, and win fun prizes! Bronze Lot

Pumpkinfest 2023 – 6:00-8:00pm, Veterans Memorial Park (10617 Taylorsville Rd),
Free Family-Friendly Event. There will be trick or treating with local businesses, music and more! Stay after the festivities for a Halloween movie night inside the Jeffersonian for a showing of ‘Hotel Transylvania’ starting at 8 pm!

Shelby Park Neighborhood Association – Pumpkin Patch will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00.

Creepy Things at Idlewild Butterfly Farm –  Join us at Idlewild Butterfly Farm for CREEPY THINGS! Butterflies are out of season so it’s time for spiders, scorpions, and other creepy crawlers!

Jucy’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Q – from 5:00-7:00pm. We can’t wait to see all the kiddos. We will be dressed up, ready to go, with candy, goodie bags, face painting, and free hot dogs and chips
