Free November Events

Louisville is filled with family fun in November and many of the events are free. We have selected a wide variety of events for the whole family, even teens!

Grab a cup of hot cocoa, sit down beside the fire and mark your calendar with free November events.

Try Hockey for Free – November 2 at Iceland Sports Complex, 2:15-3:15pm 

Holiday in the Woods – November 2, Join The Little Loomhouse for an evening of art, shopping, and merriment at their Open House Event from 6pm – 9pm. Parking for the Little Loomhouse Holiday in the Woods will be at DeSales High School, 425 W. Kenwood Drive with a shuttle up Kenwood Hill.

Dia de los Muertos: Day of the Dead – November 2, Silver Street Park, New Albany, 11am-2pm. Enjoy the beautifully decorated altar, food from La Catrina Mexican Kitchen, dance performances by México Lindo and plenty of activities! 

Family S.T.E.A.M Day – November 2, South Central Regional Library (7300 Jefferson Boulevard) from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. This FREE family-friendly event offers amazing presentations and hands-on activities to get kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Hayride on the Hill – Iroquois Park, November 3, 2:30-5:00pm. Enjoy food trucks, children’s activities, lawn games and free hayrides in scenic Iroquois Park! Uppill Road will be open, and parking is near Summit Field and Jacob’s Lodge

Once Upon an Orchestra – November 6, 6:00pm, Main Library – If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Families are invited to join LO ensembles for these fun, interactive musical storytelling performances.  

Once Upon an Orchestra – November 7, 6:30pm, Northeast Library – If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Families are invited to join LO ensembles for these fun, interactive musical storytelling performances.  

Kentucky Veteran’s Day Parade – November 9 from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Parade Units will be on display as you parade by in your vehicle to cheer them on, Jefferson Street.

Veterans Eat Free – November 11, Choice of Bacon Egg & Cheese, Sausage Egg & Cheese, or Chicken Biscuit Sandwich and a hot drip coffee or fountain drink. All Biscuit Belly locations are participating, dine in only.

Once Upon an Orchestra – November 21, 12pm, Shively Library – Llama Destroys the World. Families are invited to join LO ensembles for these fun, interactive musical storytelling performances.

Free Christmas Lights Displays – There are two lights displays that are really wonderful. We will be updating this post about dates when they begin, stay tuned here
