River City Turners offers open gym in Louisville that’s probably the most affordable around. For two hours of open gym, participants enjoy the foam pit, trampolines and more. It’s for all ages. $5 if you are a member, $8 if you are not. Open Gym: Thursdays 12:30-2:30pm, Saturdays 10am-noon. They also offer special needs open gym on select dates, they announce those on their Facebook page.
EDGE Kids Gym on Baxter Ave has open gym on Friday evenings and also on Sundays both 4-8pm. It’s $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Info here.
SIGS in New Albany has several open gym style options that recur. From tot-spot to bounce time. You can go once or get a pass that will basically get you one free visit when you purchase more visits all at once.Kentucky Gymnastics Academy has open gym Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-noon. It is $12 or you can get a punch card to save some money. You must pre-register for their open gym.
Kentuckiana Parkour in Clarksville, IN has parents night out every Saturday night and you do not have to be a member to send your child. It’s for children ages 5 and up from 6-8pm. Kids can get active in the ninja and parkour courses. $20
Defy has Kid Jump every Monday- Friday that’s perfect for an open gym in Louisville experience. From the time they open until noon, it is for kids ages 6 and under and their adult. It is $15 and parents jump free. You select a 90 minute jump spot. Those kiddos will be tired for their naps and you got your exercise in for the day!
Louisville community centers offer open gym for free. These are great because many of them are for older kids where they can play basketball or other games. To find them, you need to visit the Parks & Recreation page. Then, choose a location. Locations such as Newburg have schedules linked so you can see the dates and times for open gym. If you don’t see a link for the location you want, just give them a call and ask about their schedule. And, if there are linked schedules, watch the dates on their calendar because they typically post new ones each quarter.
