Outdoor concerts are typically free events and open to the public. Louisville is known for having a great music scene! Every spring and summer, several outdoor venues across Louisville and Southern Indiana host a variety of concerts.

Tuesdays
Every third Tuesday, May through October, bring a lawn chair and enjoy local musicians under the Pavilion at Farmington (3033 Bardstown Road) during these free monthly family-friendly events. Cash Bar available.

Beechmont Summer Concert Series Shows typically will be held each Friday for six weeks from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm. (No update yet for 2026)

Jeffersonville Concerts in Warder Park Fridays 7pm, will start Friday, June 5, 2026.
Pickin in Paristown: Join them under the Christy’s Garden pavilion every third Friday through October for live, world-class bluegrass music. Admission is free and open to all ages. Lawn chairs and leashed pets are welcome. Louisville Folk School opens each show at 6 p.m. with headliners taking the stage at 7 p.m.

Saturdays
Blackacre Sunset Music Series: July 14th, August 23rd, September 13th, and October 4th & 5th. Just $20 per carload—pack your chairs, friends, and family for a night of live music and farm fun.
Douglass Loop Farmers Market Live music at the Saturday morning farmers’ market. 10-2pm. FREE.
Jeffersontown Farmers’ Market Concerts Live music at the Saturday morning farmers’ markets. Market is open 8am-12:30pm. Check their Facebook page for event information and updates. FREE.
Norton Commons Music By the Water Concerts at the amphitheater. June-August, select Saturday evenings. FREE, 7-10pm.

Sundays
Cherokee Triangle Summer Concert Series Willow Park, Typically Sundays 7-9pm beginning Memorial Day weekend with the last concert on the Sunday before Labor Day. Read our Review here. FREE, details to come for 2026.
Middletown Spring & Summer Concert Series at Wetherby Park various Sundays 6:00-8:00pm. May 17th, June 14th, July 5th, August 9th. FREE.

Kentucky State Fair Concerts Check their website for FREE concert dates with paid fair admission. Concerts requiring a paid admission are also scheduled. The fair runs 8/20-8/30.
