Kawaii Candy and Karaoke
Unique Treats, Games, and Music family fun at Kawaii Candy and Karaoke
We love exploring new places and this candy and karaoke shop in Louisville is small but mighty!
Kawaii Candy and Karaoke near La Grange Road and Factory Lane in East Louisville is a new spot for family fun. It is not a large place, but if is definitely unique. We visited recently to experience it for ourselves and my daughter and I both enjoyed popping in there.

When you enter the shop, they have token claw games on one side and retails snacks and treats on the other. There were some people hanging out while their children were enjoying the karaoke rooms. It’s not a large place so the main area fills up quickly.
We browsed the candy first. It was fun to look at the unique items they stock at Kawaii Candy and Karaoke. There were some familiar items and brands, but for the most part, everything was new to us as the items are imported.
My daughter chose a boba tea drink that came recommended by the staff member and a different version of Skittle she had not tried before. I selected a European lower-sugar gummy candy (which was SO GOOD) and mango gummies for my husband. We selected a new-to-us Smarties gummies for my son to try and a fun candy sushi treat for her girlfriend. At home, it seemed that besides how much I enjoyed my treats, the gummy mango treats were the family favorites.
When we purchased our treats, we also bought tokens for the two types of machines. They have the claw machines and some blind coin machines…..you know, the ones you put the coins in, turn the dial, and a ball comes out with an items in it. The tokens for each machine had varying costs and for the claw machines, it was less expensive per try if you purchased more.
We spent $15 on tokens. The claw machines that 1 token per try (which equated to less than $1 per try) and the blind coin machines take 3 tokens ($3). The staff member was super nice and helpful. She told us that if we didn’t get anything, let her know so she could ‘help.’ I don’t know that they did that for everyone but I got the sense that if you are spending a certain amount on the coins, they want you to go home with something.
I liked that the claw machines had meters on them to show how difficult the machine was for successfully grabbing a prize. Especially for younger kids, you can steer them toward the easier machines so they are more likely to win their own prize and have that kind of excitement.
They have two karaoke rooms that, on a Saturday, were full. There is a pink room and a black room. I was able to pop into one of them to see the glow lighting, two couches, screen, and karaoke tablet and supplies. As you walk down the hallway, it is decorated and has a disco ball.
The hallway was full of the sounds of kids having so much fun with loud singing and fun. Parents were bringing in cakes and favors for parties. You could host a small party there and it is so affordable at $45/hour of karaoke.
There is a cute plushie wall at the entry for fun photos. They also have events such as painting events and more, which you can find out about on their website or social media.
